Nah, the resets won't happen anymore ... the cycle was also shorter, tied to solar activity pattern and ensuing climatic changes which devastated agricultural societies and pushed the steppe herders out of their pastures. Was also accompanied by Yersinia pestis outbreak every single time (has to do with rodent host population explosion in Central Asia). Climatic cycle may still apply but today the effects will not be the same. Also, Yersinia is no real problem anymore with antibiotics (so unless we talk full civilization collapse ...).

The reason I don't buy it is because of the intrigue found in examining the maps that show areas that supposedly don't exist today, or places that were found before they were found, and architecture with symbolism matching flags or known "Tartaria" styles.
