There is something everyone on Jow Forums seems to be missing. The left back in the day never used to be anything like it is now. In the earlier part of the last century and well up to the middle of it, the left used to mean the working man. Traditionally, industry jobs, coal miners, the unions and so on. Meanwhile the 'right' was the opposite, big business, strikebusters, paying workers in company money (scrip) so they were enslaved to the coal mine for their entire life. You cannot deny that the left at that point was 100% correct unless you're a stereotypical fatcat who thinks genuine exploitation of the working man is good. Pic very related, turns out the factories closed because of capitalists knowing they can make more money by outsourcing all the work.
Now, ever since the 60s that has all changed, Cultural Marxism has made it so instead of it being the working man vs the bosses it's now an infinite number of ever dividing idpol groups. Race, sexuality, etc etc, you know all about that, it's a neverending path of bullshit.
The left today have 0 in common with the left of the olden days. So what do you think about that?
It's a shame that common sense shit like "workers shouldn't be literal slaves" is now inseparable from "every white ethnic group has a moral obligation to commit suicide"
The Democrats and Republicans know that by mixing stances on classical liberalism and neoconservatism/neoliberalism, they can effectively divide the voter base on single issues and keep a permanent duopoly where both major parties vote to allow corporations to rape workers and to send billions to other countries and do nothing in office except serve as money machines for their donors. Citizens United fucked this nation over.

The left is still about that stuff, hence the free health care, imigrants rights, raising the minimum wage, universal basic income, raising taxes on the rich, etc. But they also need the support of all those other groups like the LGBT, blacks, Latinos, and unfortunately big businesses, to get elected.

That is why they are useful idiots serving the agenda of big business and having their feelings manipulated to do it. Big agriculture is really like modern day slavedriving for example, bringing in cheap work from Mexico to do farm jobs at reduced pay. It is ridiculous that the left has no issue with that now. That's the reality of the modern left, big businesses personal servant and attack dog, their immigration agenda is backed by big business, many of their harsher economic regulatory and tax policies are quietly and even occasionally vocally supported by big business that know they have the capital to take the hit and keep operating while their smaller competitors can't keep up, some of them even support outsourcing under the guise of fair trade and helping developing countries economies.

This isn't exactly all about politics. Marx simply write the blueprint for what people do now; manufacture an identity through group theory, claim it is oppressed, rebel fanatically and demand state support. It's not so much as THE left as it is a plethora of imitations. Look at trannies. They truly think they are a historically oppressed minority. People with certain disabilities or illnesses claim that they're being held down and call themselves wacky acronyms. Hell they even just make the illness up. And feminism too. This isn't Marxism, it's anything-ism using the same general strategy, create a story where you need something and bam, you're sold. These groups still have values but they need to compete and survive against others all the same so that they can convince you into their belief system. I 100% bet that I could lure you into the same trap just by exploiting your fears constantly.
