It needs to be subsidized heavily. We need to divert current fossil fuels being squandered to propel giant trucks and boats back and forth into dams and geothermal plants while increasing efficiency in transmission. THis isnt economically viable, but why is 700 billion a year to subsidize military contractors? Unfortunately we are in a tragedy of the commons scenario where the world is racing to use as much fossil fuels as they can before anyone else gets them and future generations will have to deal with a more difficult planet to live on because of it. Because solar panels are dirty as hell to produce, wind power is a health hazard and because both are too inconsistent for main dependency in the power grid.
No, magic battery tech won't solve the problem of inconsistency. You're wasting power to make an inefficient system work.
Now liquid salt thorium reactors on the other hand are cleaner than your ass, safer for the environment than solar panel production, don't require meme batteries and run cool enough and reliably enough to allow use of one without a giant cooling tower on top of it.

You understand that, just one example of many, making an electric car is demonstrably worse for the environment than producing and then using a traditional car for decades? And tax dollars go into subsidizing that shit both directly and in the form of colleges setting up charging stations for like two kids from rich families who have them and then taxdollars pay for all the power they use to charge them? You unironically support robbing people to give free shit to the wealthy "to save the environment" when it's worse before even turning one of those fucking things on for the first time than any claim about combustion engine harm (which is unproven anyway) could be over the course of decades. And on top of that the power used to charge those fucking things is almost always generated (less efficiently than just running a gas engine because it's being translated tons of ways) by burning coal or some shit.
Then you get into subsidizing extremely expensive solar/wind/hydroelectric shit and THAT'S always a scam because electric companies just pass the cost onto consumers, generate fuck all power from it anyway, and then the consumers pay AGAIN to make up the extra cost for their power when the government gives that money to the power company. It's all a huge fucking scam that ultimately does the opposite of it's claimed purpose.

Many of the research papers on global warming are inherently flawed. Al Gores paper didn't include the oceans or any body of water and how they would affect the earths climate. Which is retarded because its responsible for retaining as much of 80% of the heat in some areas. Secondly, Their is a clean energy source that is available and efficient but no one will use. Nuclear energy is an environmentalists wet dream but they don't seem to know anything about it or outright say its worse then fossil fuels. You should really research the benefits of nuclear power, especially since there are new innovations in the field coming around, things like thorium reactors are very interesting because they can solve many of the issues a conventional nuclear reactor faces
