Not bringing armor, especially weak sauce soft body armor doesnt mean shit, especially when there is no motive. If he was a maniac who wanted to die why bring armor, and if he wanted to live or live a little longer he wouldnt bring soft body armor because its not proof against weapons that SWAT teams use, IE intermediate rifle cartidges.

The way I see it there are two scenarios:

This seems implausible to me for the simple reason that there are way too many people who could have spoken out by now.
