This is because they're using Google AI's embedded exif data to know what the image is.
Apps & sites like Whisper have been testing this lately. Where if you use a certain image already deemed hateful, your post will auto shadow ban itself & the views won't move. Meaning it shows up for you but no one else.
You have to run it through a filter first, then resave it as a separate file. Basically erasing its original exif data. Try it & you'll see.
