Illegal. Provided we're members we retain all our power. That's why Macron was close to vetoing the extension. The only alternative is ripping up the treaties, further fanning the flames of euroskepticism across Europe.
Tyler Parker
why are you pretending you take drugs, attend parties or have sex you anime nonce?
Shouldn't you be sinking tinnies and boshing sniff? >LARPcel accuses others of LARPing lmao >sniffing hair >not cocaine sconner
Kayden Gomez
good to see you're still around though mate, has rightly ever returned and does rimmer still post?
Kevin Foster
What problems do modern brits face that are NOT caused by immigrants? There's the obvious stuff like administrative fuckery caused by being in the EU, but if you left, what would remain? Legit question, I don't really know what crises are going on in the UK besides the NHS and housing thing.
Dominic Flores
Rightly - unknown Rimmer - yes he's here often posting anonymously
Josiah Moore
>>sniffing hair >>not cocaine
Maybe his hair's made from cocaine, didn't think of that did ya eh, did ya, eh?
Does anyone know if I can run facebook ads without having to link my ad manager account to my personal profile?
Brody Campbell
No, you can't do that, Joe Biden.
Jose Peterson
that sconner LARPcel's not got hair nor cocaine and neither do you
Xavier Gray
Yes and since only 6% of UK businesses do any trade with the EU whatsoever, they would have to continue abiding by EU standards as far as their trade with the EU is concerned. Under May's deal, the remaining 94% are also bound by their rules and regulations indefinitely - and we don't even have a representative making said rules.
Hudson Ward
can someone give me the rundown on what happened today? did May get what she wanted and what does it mean?
What the fuck is going on over there honestly? I entered college the year you voted to leave and I've since graduated and you still haven't left.
Henry Ortiz
Most immediate problems could be fixed by having fewer people, i.e. immigrants. The underlying issues as to why we "need" more people are problems we all face, like the ponzi scheme that is pensions and social security, and the creating money out of debt magic trick.
Brandon Martin
Paypigs gonna pay
Eli Ward
Britain refuses to leave, meanwhile the EU is slowly neutering british influence in the body in order too stifle and possible sabotage action. if things carry on as they are the UK will become an overseas territory in the same vain as Puerto Rico
Jeremiah Nguyen
I thought the whole point of leaving was that we didn't have a have representation or had any say in the rules to begin with?
Ayden Johnson
May wanted an extension to June 30th.
EU wanted something much longer, over a year.
Macron threw a fit because he's afraid of a Euroskeptic PM replacing May and fucking with the EU internally, and our involvement in Euro elections bringing in more euroskeptic MEPs.
EU managed to talk him down from vetoing the extension and agreeing on a compromise of Oct 31.
Can is kicked further down the road for no apparent reason since May is still PM, her deal has been rejected 3 times by Parliament and the EU refuses to change the deal. Now we have to vote in the EU parliament elections three years after we voted to leave it. So we sit around with our thumbs up our arses for the next six months until either they're confident they can win a second referendum or they request another extension.
Jose Brown
>t. sconners
Jackson Ward
Yes but the point was also to actually leave it.
Tyler Robinson
Reminder that if the UK ends up remaining, this is Britain's future.
Is there any chance of a boycott? Only Remoaners would want to vote in EU election
Sebastian Jenkins
that's is an argument for staying in, not for leaving without a deal.
the EU is the largest foreign trading partner we have. only 6% of businesses trade with the EU because most businesses don't involve themselves in foreign trade, so any % is going to sound small.
all businesses will have to abide by any trade deal we sign with any country, because that's how trade deals work. regulation has to be economy-wide to prevent smuggling.
Alexander Johnson
God bless you coke-poster! Your posts really brighten my day.
Eli Diaz
lol one of the points leave ran with is that the EU was too restricitve when it came to trade and movement of people outside of the EU (which is why many socialists vote for leave.)
Kevin Peterson
So do we have representation and a say in the rules or don't we?
Andrew Sanders
a boycott of what?
Gavin Murphy
Working more closely with Africa and India is exactly what Brexiteers have repeatedly said they want though.
Alexander Diaz
>you have two options >one where you're the EU's bitch >the other, you're the Duo's bitch but you get to vote some useless politicians so it feels like you're accomplishing something >there are no other options, we'll keep extending the deadline
this is an absolute joke, the fact that the Tories voted for Theresa May, a Remainer, to lie through her crooked British teeth about achieving Brexit while negotiating a deal that is essentially EU membership lite
How long until a general election is called and both parties promise a second referendum if they're elected?
Lincoln Gray
yeah, and Boris Johnson, the tory base's favorite, isn't even anti-immigration. the country is fixated on memes over reality.
Owen Price
If there's no brexit, couch-potato brexiteers would rather stay home or go on vacation rather than take part in another pointless election. Don't kid yourself. The brexit wave just hit an immovable object, and it's May. If any of them still care, it'll only be a protest vote. That's all
Henry Scott
I just read Merkel's comments from yesterday night. She said the Brits have now until the end of October to sign the deal. (Yes, the deal that's been rejected three times.) And she said that at the end of October, the EU will discuss this (an extension) again.
Meaning the EU is apparently willing to kick the can down the road seemingly forever, and it's now up to the UK to either sign the deal or to leave on their own without a deal.
> all businesses will have to abide by any trade deal we sign with any country
No they don't you nitwit. Only companies which sell into that country have to abide by their rules, and only insofar as the products they are selling into said country. Iceland has a free trade deal with China. Do you think they have regulatory alignment?
> the EU is the largest foreign trading partner we have
Which is why it'd be wise to have a FTA with them after we leave. It isn't wise to merge our country together with them. If you want to do that, why not go big dick and join the United States? They owe their origins to us, have cultural and linguistic compatibility, similar legal traditions and a proper constitution. They have a bigger market and the most powerful military on the planet. Why not do that instead? Because it's retarded.
Angel Gutierrez
A boycott by leave voters would result in 100% remain supporting MEPs The media and government would then spin this as tacit approval for remaining
Austin Bell
well it would at least be up to UK voters to vote for a government that increased immigration, not bureaucrats from brussels. i don't think the UK have an appetite for more immigrants.
You can have trade without free movement
Levi Ortiz
>THIS PROVES THE EU IS WEAK AND WE ARE STRONG -- leave voters
Jack Adams
I'm a bit confused but does the EU expect the UK to sign May's current deal with no changes? Or can May change it up to create a better more attractive deal for the HoC?
Angel Wood
just leave on WTO terms mate, fuck them
should have been done ages ago tbqh
Gabriel Howard
As has been said by all EU parties involved since December - negotiations are over. The deal is final. No, the Brits can not change it. The EU has made quite a few concessions towards the UK, and the deal that's on the table is as good as it's ever going to get.
Jacob Morgan
>31 October
Sound comfy, hope i've got a gf by then ha ha
Angel Nguyen
the deal isn't going to change at all, the eu will just keep giving extensions if they are asked for. they have us by the balls due to the incompetency of our government
Cameron Garcia
UKIP or the Brexit party?
Jonathan Myers
At least now we get European elections and we can vote in Sargon of Akkad for the memes.
Oliver Kelly
>Only 5 And A Half Months Til Brexit Damn it'll be winter by then, which means it won't be summer anymore, how depressing
