I'm an atheist and I still think your picture is full of shit.
First of all, looking for deeper meaning in the universe is a good thing. It separates us from the stupid non-human animals. Second of all, it takes a certain degree of intelligence to survive in the capitalist system we live in. Third, not all animals reproduce. A lot of animals will deliberately not reproduce during a food shortage. We aren't currently living in a literal food shortage, but we are living in an age in which the price of food is high and wages are low. Might as well be a food shortage.
>not all animals reproduce
Then how did they get here?
I'm not just talking to foreigners, relax, jesus
it's as simple as:
1. eat right. "you are what you eat". clean food (organic is good, wild is generally best) and clean water are worth the price. a few dollars isn't worth poor health and a cloudy mind
2. avoid danger. war is coming. leave the cities now. stockpile essentials (food, water, firewood, medicines, guns/ammo, cash, etc.)
3. find a good woman, start a family and protect it
>, but we are living in an age in which the price of food is high and wages are low. Might as well be a food shortage.
You've got it exactly backwards. food has never been cheaper, more plentiful, or more varied.
>le george carlin philosophy
>be leaf
>might as well be in a food shortage
You were making sense until

Fucking: Impossible.

Why you should not have children:
1. "Humans have need that don't need to exist." Nothing we do or want is needed or necessary. It's an illusion in our heads. A young girl has no use for footballs, she likes playing with Barbie dolls. Food only tastes good because you need to eat it, and so on. Furthermore, most if not all of what we do is just out of a desire to avoid pain. Think of money, you want it so bad, but at the top of the list for WHY you want it is to avoid suffering. Your health and welfare, helping people you care about, etc.
2. There is no harm in not creating life. If you don't create life, there is nothing to harm.
3. You cannot get consent from the unborn. Once they are born, it's done, there's no going back. If they end up suffering, the blame ultimately comes back to you.
4. We overvalue the positives in our lives and diminish the suffering. This is a scientific fact. It's called the Pollyanna principle. We also tend to hugely ignore the amounts of suffering we are potentially subjected to by being alive.
Canada.
Also brap.
1. evolutionarily needs exist. you need to eat to survive.
2. we have a survival/procreative instinct. it's not optional. you have it before you were able to philosophize
3. life involves suffering. that doesn't make it bad. "no pressure, no diamonds". part of the problem these days is kids raised on easy mode. spoiled, pampered, then they get into the real world and it's not all that way.
4. it is what it is. hope springs eternal. optimism/hope/faith is a good thing.
>Who gains promotions, boons, appointments, but the man in whose life they are seen to play the part of live hypotheses, who discounts them, sacrifices other things for their sake before they have come, and takes risks for them in advance ? His faith acts on the powers above him as a claim, and creates its own verification.
that doesn't mean ignore the downside. just don't dwell on it any longer than necessary. negativity is unhealthy. plan for the worst, hope for the best.
I believe it's possible that if you are purely logical about life, you would come to the conclusion that it's not worth continuing
I often tell people that the meaning of life is to procreate. We are here to make babies, everything else is basically just a helpful path to achieve that. People usually try to convince me there’s more to it, trying to justify their need to watch television or get likes on Facebook like that’s man’s great purpose. Some people get sad, some people feel relief.
logic is conclusions deriving from premises. the fundamental premise is will to survive.
sometimes things are hard or seemingly senseless. keep going, it gets better and clearer in time. "when you're going through hell, keep going" -churchill
it's just one thing to the next anyway, I don't think there's any escape. we'll just be reincarnated. maybe something that requires less intention tho next time, like a tree or something. would get boring after a while tho, init
The fact you've survived long enough to have written such a piss-pile of rubbish entirely negates your second point.
I think you could start from different premises, some based on facts and some based on opinions/feelings. MEaning is an age old question, I think all people who believe in meaning are looking for something that will "elevate" life to having cosmic importance. The question may be beyond pure logic

>First of all, looking for deeper meaning in the universe is a good thing.
It's a surrogate activity.
>It separates us from the stupid non-human animals.
Animals who have to search for food to survive or to fight to fend of predators are being satisfied enough by their lives to not need to participate in surrogate activities even if they are intelligent enough to do so.
>Second of all, it takes a certain degree of intelligence to survive in the capitalist system we live in.
Most people just need to follow orders, stand in the right place, and turn in the documents to their boss before the deadline to survive in this system. You don't have to be that intelligent.
>Third, not all animals reproduce. A lot of animals will deliberately not reproduce during a food shortage.
A lot of animals will also starve during a food shortage. However, prior to human technological dominance, those food shortages are extremely rare due to the fact that the rabbits who would eat all the grass if unchecked are eaten by the coyotes who kill other coyotes for territory (also checking their own population). When they do happen, it leads to the local extinction of the populations--in which case, you don't see any rabbits or coyotes in a 100 mile area until species slowly wander back into it. In that case, the rabbits and coyotes who are cunning or strong enough to survive do so. It's part of the evolutionary process.
>We aren't currently living in a literal food shortage, but we are living in an age in which the price of food is high and wages are low. Might as well be a food shortage.
Wages are low if you want to own a house in Vancouver. They are adequate in general otherwise. The price of food is only high in LEAFland.
Why are so many Murricas so fanatically religious people?
I'm not religious
