Japan has shintoism, and still carries it's traditions through celebratoin, events, temples, architecture, art, dress and language, but if you ask them if they literally believe it to be true, they'll say no. I think where someone lives is a better judge of character than what religion they are. Christianity in Rome was an urban, cosmopolitan religion while paganism remained popular areas. Now Christianity largely occupies the same role as paganism used to ironically, its influence us strongest in rural areas while secularism and leftism are strongest in cities. Progressive values can largely only survive in cities, the main exception being rich white libs in places like Maine like Stephan King and such.
