Well, now that I'm properly informed and can answer the question. My response to OP is I don't know and still don't fully understand the question.

My entire career is modern technology, which has only shown me that Teddy K was more right than wrong.
An ethnostate would be capable of resisting subversive tech, and bringing the populace up to a properly level of social/ cultural evolution to deal with it, but the combination of tech and the poison of diversity is the deadly virus that will suppress prosperity. There has never been a more perfect opiate than the instant gratification technology era. Social media is causing mental illness.

Better technology will always bring better prosperity, just not for everyone involved. You fight against it you will be left behind and conquered eventually, by countries who are not bogged down by morality you adhere to.

For instance, see China in everything they do, they understand that people are a resource for technology, and if they continue on this path, they will eventually conquer and gain a foothold in wherever they see fit.

Previously it required a bit of effort to completely fuck your brain up for good.

Technology is a means of doing things more effectively. It has nothing to do with a more meaningful or "better" society.
Your life may be easier to do tasks than it was than in the past, but that doesn't mean better, more meaningful or fulfilling, especially not for a society as a whole. That is an illusion.

It's really hard to pinpoint the exact moment (or field maybe) but I think technological advance overall have been very beneficial to us all. But something about its development the last 3 or so decades have me wondering if it's still for the benefit of the people or someone else.
