Wikileaks refuses to comment on the sources of they documents they recieve. They never confirmed nor denied inquiries regarding the identity of their sources. Except once Their official statement on the DNC leaks was "It's not Russia, definitely not Russia, guys."

This has gone on since at least the 1930s, unironically. I recall studying old newspapers and the New York Times uses the same phrase when reporting the news, except it wasn't current year. It was 80 years ago, or 40, or 20. Hell, I have an old copy siting here from a local paper that does it, from 1985.
