After I failed to find work after graduating I moved from my small hometown to London to live with my older sister, who was the only person there I knew. I worked minimum wage agency jobs and bar jobs for a few months before finding my first full-time job, at £20,000 a year it felt like a fortune.
The work was very dull and I worked from 8:30am to 5:30am with only a handful of colleagues, all from private schools. A year later we moved to the top floor of the building and more people began to join. My job required no skill but a lot of diligence and willingness to embrace boredom etc. In the summer of 2015 I spent almost every evening alone in my rented room, and on weekends I'd just travel around the city alone. By the middle of summer I was feeling very sad about things and spent a lot of nights on suicide chatrooms, just backing myself into a corner.
One day in work I noticed a girl making coffee in the small kitchen shared by the offices on the top two floors. When I say notice, it was more of a vague acknowledgement and I paid no real attention to her, only seeing her briefly walking to and from the kitchen as did her colleagues who had just moved into the office on the floor below.
To an advisory parliament that has no true power to put bills into law as that's decided by the commission. Sure.
Your local pub can have a majority vote on an issue but the MP decides what he will support. It's no different, it's just a tarted up gathering of people.
I left my desk one evening and on the way downstairs to leave I passed this girl I'd barely noticed apparently arguing with her female colleague. It turned out she was complaining to her about the intern at their company, who had left at 5:30pm, and I heard her say "This is London!" as if to make it clear that leaving at 5:00 or 5:30 in London was unthinkable. I looked at the floor and passed them by in silence. I suspected she was privately educated, as were most people in her company and my company, many of them having attended the top schools in the country.
The next week I'm sitting at my desk doing my boring data entry work and I hear someone standing to my right saying something to get my attention. I raised my eyebrows and looked up and saw the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen in my life. I knew my pupils were dilating and when she smiled it truly felt like my brain was desperately gathering all the details of that brief moment so that I could recall them fondly at a later date. Emotions I had not felt since my early teens, and then only in their nascent form, were triggered deep inside me. It sounds sentimental but it was as though I had been woken up from a long dream in which I had simply moved around semi-paralyzed.

the parliment do yeah but the commision is the only one who gets to propose laws, and the parliement and commision are two seperate entities
eu parliment can only vote for or against things that the commision suggest, the parliment cannot put forth its own laws to be voted on, so if the comission doesnt want something then it will never be voted on
I noticed from then on that she would visit the office I worked in almost every day to either make coffee at the kitchen nearby or to stand by the printer directly adjacent to my desk, standing just behind me to my right. Every time I knew she was there I'd tense up so much I wouldn't be able to type or remember what I was working on. I pretended not to notice, but I was too scared to turn or do anything until she left, when I'd feel my shoulders drop and my muscles untense. My heart was beating so fast each time she was nearby that I just felt grateful to her for letting me feel that way.
Soon after she got my attention again to ask a question about someone in another company who oversaw office maintenance for both floors. She could've asked someone else but she got my attention and I looked up and saw those beautiful eyes again and felt certain she felt something for me too, though I wasn't sure how obvious I had been having been so cold and guarded for so long. In my teens I suffered from a stutter and much of the time people just didn't understand what I was saying I muttered so badly. The same thing happened when I answered her question, and she thanked me and started to walk away before turning and asking me the same question which I attempted to answer in a slightly more elaborate fashion, not knowing whether she'd understood me or whether already I had caused her suspect I was an autistic weirdo.

Every day I'd tell myself that today would be the day I I simply turned in my chair and looked at her, smile if she smiled at me, and make some kind of effort to show her I was interested in her. I had never been in a romantic relationship, having briefly "gone out with" three girls in my very early teen years, but had only kissed one of them one time and had never really spoken nor grown close to any of them - largely due to my shyness and inexperience.
One day I was sitting with the large fan blowing towards my desk from behind the printer, and a piece of paper landed on my keyboard. I picked it up and turned quickly to look behind me, and she was standing there, already smiling towards me. I froze up and when she apologized, still smiling, I said "Oh, ok" and secured the paper beneath a stapler and went back to my work. How stupid could I be! How could I expect her to sustain interest in me when I appeared to barely even notice her?!?

Ukip at least have an established base and grassroots to work from without this new brexit party all the brexit voters would have voted for them in huge numbers. This new Brexit party is exactly what remainers needed. Literal own goal. The only saving grace is if its centrist it could get labour brexit votes. Its still the worst play if you really want Brexit what are you doing Nige? I vote tactically and this has made choice much harder I now have to guess between this new party and Ukip how fucking stupid.

2 hours ago, it could have been so different. I couldn't even imagine it anymore
I don't like the massive weird-shaped eyes and the tiny noses. Noses are one of the things that gives a person's face a lot of character, so it seems stupid to draw them all the same kind of shape.

I agree what is Aaron Banks playing at this feels like the moment I realised Trump was a Zionist. Imagine spending decades fighting for something only to sabotage it at the last hurdle. Hard to fathom.
