I didn't want to go into much more detail than that, but obviously avoid it with inedible plants or with those whose psychoactive compounds are found within the entire plant. It's more for plants which have edible parts besides those containing the entheogen or which require other compounds to activate it. The diet is a shamanistic practice which is supposed to bring you closer to that plant spirit to increase the effectiveness of the entheogen produced from it.
