Have you ever attended a political protest or rally unironically? I was at Occupy Wall Street before it was (((compromised)))
Have you ever attended a political protest or rally unironically...
Occupy was a bunch of socialist cucks from the beginning, but you knew that.
sometimes me and my girlfriend visit the "yellow vest" rallies here in Edmonton. We give them 2 dollar tim hortons cards.
Antifa usually threatens us, but whatever.
How it got compromised?
I do not care enough about politics to bother going to any events.
Maybe a couple of dozen over the years as an acutal protestor.
Over the last few years I've been to some just to watch and laugh though These have been EDL/FLA/British Yellow Vests/pro-Brexit ones.
I also like to spot plain clothes police/FIT &c.
If the left can't meme, the right can't march; at least not in Britain.
It's illegal for the right to march in Britain, innit?
Way back in 2000 (when I was kind of a lefty) I went to an IMF summit protest in Melbourne. It's interesting because the student/lefty types were marching along side the trade unions (thousands of union members turned up). The modern left couldn't give a fuck about corporate globalism, or the working class.
They flooded the camps with homeless people and drugs
i was living in nyc when ows was going on (i still do)
i kind of regret not going. paid it a visit the day after they cleaned the place out and made an offhand comment to an antifa crustpunk looking chick and she started wailing on me until her basedboy handlers dragged her away and apologized.
I heard identity politics and "diversity" really fucked it. The gays wanted to make it theirs, the spics wanted to make it theirs, the blacks wanted to make it theirs and everyone wanted white males to go away.
I went to the tea party protest back in 2008 maybe 2007 back when it was more about supporting Ron Paul and getting rid of stupid gun laws people still had anti-obama signage before he was even in the office I believe.it's sad that it got co-opted by The Establishment Republicans.
Why did the occupy movement fizzle out? Do bankers not need to pay?
There's still a pretty strong Tea Party group in my area. They sure got shoved out of the way by the establishment gop, didn't they?
Well going by the occupy people in Sacramento that I saw they were a bunch of homeless and dirty hippy kids who had nothing better to do than bother normal people.
When I was in middle school my older sister talked me into going to a skateboarding protest. They were protesting it being illegal to skateboard on the sidewalk. It was kinda gay.
>opposing private companies receiving money from the government is socialism.
And I'm sure aware that OWS is where the fbi weaponised the progressive stack.
Dumb fucking nigger.
I stood on a corner and banged a bucket with a stick yelling "no blood for oil" when the Iraq war kicked off.
Yes. They're profoundly gay and are all compromised from the start. I also went to an Occupy event. It was clearly being managed by a tiny group of political science majors who infantilized the crowd by dictating rules for when to speak and how to behave, then marched people around downtown in a circle in order to deliberately expend any energy they had that might otherwise have been put to constructive use. It was a blatant exercise in diffusing social tension without changing anything.
I rapidly came to the conclusion that only faggots go to rallies to wave signs and scream at the sky. Real change is not accomplished by crowds of mooing peasants volunteering to be pepper sprayed or beaten in order to prove a point. One real action is worth more than ten million petitions and protests.
>New Zealand chimes in on American movements
No, it was all the same free college retards that are still banging around today.
once saw a photo of myself at a protest that happened about an hour away but i did not go, by all appearances it was my doppleganger but with an iron cross tattoo....prob a glownigger being me. at that same time my wife got pulled over (cars in my name) and the cop came up in ready mode, stance ready to draw asking for me by full name. ran wife and oldest sons id, asked where i was when the last time they saw me, said he stopped her because he ran plates and i am a missing person. she said until he explained that, must just be an error, she was shitting bricks thinking i had gone postal or something. wierd man. fucking mandela shit.
Kek
No. Nor is illegal to meme bullshit about it.
with the proper permit.
Going to protests really seems pointless when you realize that one good meme gone viral will be seen by more people, have more effect, and be more persuasive than anything you can do at a protest, including if you were to set yourself on fire in front of the White House in protest, as this fucking idiot found out:
The 'modern left' are rarely actually left wing. Most are middle class centrists. They don't care about trad left wing issues like economy/class as they're financially comfortable (up until things start getting so bad the Bank of Mum and Dad can't help them out) and therefore their 'progressive' focus is on shitty identity politics: feminism, trannys, feminism vs trannys, gay rights, anti-white views,
These middle-class centrists, watch how often they cry about glass ceilings in boardrooms or how often some actress is paid less than male colleagues as opposed to working class women who earn fuck all.
Rarely happens. Again, fucking centrists.
Did you buy your adult website card at the local shop Nigel?
what the fuck user
is this how spooks are made?
Can confirm. Almost all of my friends have been liberals, none of them adhere to any definable values and are more than willing to dismiss any of their professed beliefs temporarily the moment they're inconvenienced by them. The only time any of them are vocally anti-war is when they can use it as a political issue against conservatives, and they're all on board with promoting interracial dating and trannie bullshit even though they almost invariably are straight and date or are married within their race. Fucking virtue signalling twats.
I'm not sure why more people, particularly on boards like this one haven't realised this. Blaming the left all the time, is lazy thinking.
Saddens me when I see Brit posters do it as there's not been a left wing government in Britain for decades. We've either had Thatcherism (based on Reaganomics) or New Labour (the clue is in the name) who continued much of it, but started with identity politics, then a Tory and Orange Book Lib Dem coalition which was largely Thatcherism with austerity AND identity politics and now a Tory government which has Thatcherism with austerity AND identity politics AND nanny-statism (porn laws, internet laws &c).
40 years and no actual left wing politics in sight but apparently Britain is crumbling due to left wing politics.
The Tories in the UK are about equivalent to our most left leaning Democrats.
