Multi-party democracy is as retarded as it gets. I don't understand how anything gets done when you have 87 different parties in parliament, no clear majority, and no clear governing agenda.

In two party system essentially all the ideologies get concentrated into two parties. That leads to pretty broken systems and all kinds of stupidity. Democracts have to cater to literal commies and Republicans to evangelical loonies.

No system is perfect. But a first-past-the-past system is INFINITELY superior to any other voting system.
You end up with a representative who likely is a known quantity, who actually won a majority of votes (or damn close to one), and who has local ties, not just some faceless party functionary who got in because of some retarded ranked vote system or whatever other alternative-retardation you use. You also end up with parliamentary majorities with a clear governing agenda.

In two party systems a lot of people don't usually vote for candidates they actually support, they vote against candidate they oppose most. So effectively they are forced to vote for candidates they just oppose slightly less than the even worse alternative. First past the post single representative constituency election encourage tactical voting and generally cause voter apathy that shows up as low voter turnout. I wouldn't be surprised if majority Bongs didn't vote for candidates they actually oppose due to tactical reasons. Same applies to US elections.

In most countries where presidents are elected by direct election, system is usually has two rounds of voting. If no one in first round gets over 50% of the vote, second round will be held between two most popular candidates.

In two party system all those special interests tend to get into those two parties, at least into one, but quite often into both of 'em.
