I really fucking hate this trend of taking majestic architecture full of intricate baroque decorations and ornaments, and stripping everything away so it's just bland flat geometric shapes left over. Especially the case with all the old buildings in Germany that used to be covered in beautiful artwork for hundreds of years before WW2.

The cathedral was robbed, the bones were thrown out then the building was burned. When the Christians were about to retake the city, the Ottomans filled the basilica with gunpowder, which exploded during the siege.
This was actually a common practice of the turkroach ottoniggers: Fill the historic building with gunpowder, hoping that the besiegers will hold back and when the entire building explodes, blame the people who're trying to retake what's theirs. Literally taking historic monuments as hostages.
They did the same shit with Buda castle and with the Parthenon and they would've done the same thing with the Hagia Sophia, if the city got besieged by Christians.
