In my opinion the majority of religious institutions and texts are compromised to push good people away and attract people who want power. Inverted its purpose - as above so below etc. A perfect example of this is Grace. When I was younger and in my agnostic days one of the major things that pushed me away from religion in general was the whole "accept christ be saved" thing. They cheapen the idea to make it like a used car dealer trying to sell you on their religion. To any reasonable person that sets off red flags - they make it easy to fake being sorry for your sins and cover for evil. God made us knowing we would sin, and still he made us and is proud of us. If you humbly open your soul and ask for forgiveness for all the things you know to be wrong about yourself he will respond. He will take it from your mind and keep it from weighing on your soul so you can go forward and resist temptation better in thefuture.
The whole "saved" thing is also total jew shit because it implies God is a one time affair. A cheap one night stand you can use to hide from your wrongdoings. This of course couldnt be further from the truth. Walking the righteous path is a struggle, we are tested every day and fail every day. I asked for forgiveness and I felt something powerful, Jow Forums, and I cant describe it in any other way than Grace. What I felt made it clear that im not absolved of all wrongdoing but rather free to move ahead without thinking unnecessarily about the past. Remember to sin is to miss the mark. Most of what we obsess about, our so called baggage, is times we failed, aka sins. So let that shit go user. Seek Grace and be free of your doubt, fear, shame, anxiety.

I came up with a metaphor for what Grace is like. Imagine a mistake you made that you knew could cost you something important, like a job or relationship. There are four possible scenarios or paths, I will refer to them as satan, hell, repentance, and Grace.
If you deal with it decietfully (with lies) and get fired you are in hell. If you get away with it you are in satans world (getting rewarded for doing the wrong thing, aka the upside down inverted shit).
Now if you deal with it honestly and get fired you are on the path of repentance. This is the most difficult because you are punished for doing the right thing (jesus), and since you got fired you probably wanna think about how you couldve lied and kept your job. If you are humble however you recognize you fucked up and try to do better by your next employer. This leads you to the final path. The 'straight and narrow' so to speak - Grace. As ive said I have a hard time describing it. Imagine in the job analogy you were freaking out over some tiny mistake that you think you can get fired for. Instead of hiding it you bring it to them and not only are they not mad, they are super impressed you cared enough to be honest with them and will not only not fire you, but reward you. Its like that 10000x. Like going from the greatest net negative to the greatest net positive in the smallest fraction of time imaginable.

All the fear, anxiety and angst you get builds and builds until it all vanishes into pure exhilarating joy in a moment. (((They))) want to suspend us before that moment and feed on our anxiety. Learn your struggle and love it. God gave it to you gave it to youbecause only you can defeat it.

I was thinking about something last night in the light of Notre Dame.
Why is it that Christians and Catholics don't have the spirit to fight anymore? Is it really because of sin? In the past they would sail across the Atlantic just to raise crosses in the name of God. Now, it's refugees welcome and it's ok to be a sodomite.
Is it really so much a sin to fight in the name of God? To do your part in securing your religion here while still on earth?
