Traveling through space faster then light, yeah that's impossible. But space is not the only medium possible for transit. Space is just a fabric, don't try to go through it if you want to get to far places. Manipulate the space-time metric around you, and you won't even be subject to g-forces if you pull a 90 degree turn instantly at thousands of miles per hour.
