A state that claims to look out for more than one nation.

For example, Canada has traditionally been a bit of a compromise between the French-Canadian nation, the Anglo-Canadian nation, and the various native nations. This has been the central issue of every major problem Canada has had. There's been civil war with the metis, endless physical or political conflict with the native tribes, insane amounts of money taken from anglos to support French and native nations, A dissaffected franco-canadian nation that is always under threat from the anglo majority (well, not any more) and it's attempts to assimilate it, and even a terrorism issue a few decades back and a referendum to divide the country that almost destroyed the whole thing.
That was a "successful" multicultural state. It labors under the insane and complete unfounded premise that a state can govern for the unique needs, traits, temperaments and cultures of more than one nation. How can that possibly be true? At best, a nation that compromises say, 30% of the country, and has 30% of the government (usually there's an imbalance but let's assume there isn't), will only have a government that's 30% structured for their unique sensibilities, desires, and most importantly, NATIONAL INTEREST.
Canada ran arguably the best modern version of it with just French, English, and Natives, and it's been the source of endless problems and held back each party. We're not stronger for our diversity. Yet we champion multiculturalism as if it were helping, rather than hurting us.
Now throw in people with even larger divides than the Francos and Anglos. Two relatively similar peoples. How the fuck did anyone expect anything different?

Not so long as Muslims are allowed to immigrate to and live in our countries. Reason for this is that polygamy is outlawed in every western nation whilst Muslim men take up to 4 wives according to Islamic law. They get around western law by marrying multiple wives in their local mosques, then they only have a single wife legally recognized under our legal system. Our governments know they're doing this but never enforce the law for fear of both being labelled Islamophobic (ITS THEIR CULTURE, BIGOT), and because they're deathly afraid of Islam itself.
So Muslims either need to be coerced into "leaving", or their entire religion needs massive, sweeping reforms. The former is far, far more likely than the latter provided we get the right kinds of people into government power.
