Our media and our feds should be more transparent in cases like these (within reason). I never found where she made specific threats, and I haven't read where anybody else has found that, either, and yet our media relentlessly says, "She made threats." Now, if they were to say she POSED a threat, that I would understand. I know it's silly to play armchair psychiatrist, but her journal read like your classic schizo journal. She was clearly NOT well, and also she was DEEPLY depressed and saw her life as torture that would end soon. She also seemed to have a preoccupation with or feel a connection to the Columbine shooters. When she ran away from home, flew to Colorado, and bought a shotgun within easy driving distance of Columbine, I absolutely understand why law enforcement, the schools, and the feds all went apeshit trying to find her. She POSED a threat. I have no questions about that. I'm actually in awe that they were so proactive. But as to her MAKING threats, that has been stated as fact, but never proven. It would help if we could see some examples. More of these things could be stopped if more people could recognize warning signs.
