They actually are pretty big and comfy. Despite the ugly looks from the outside, they are actually quite spacious compared to Western European apartments. Very little noise because of the concrete as well. Also, a lot of them are well connected to the internet because the commies actually had the foresight to see these places were going to be upgraded in the future.
So I'm always kind of neutral when people mention commie blocks. They're ugly on the outside, but wow inside.

Like I said, I'm neutral to those blocks. When I studied in Eastern Europe, most of those fucking commie blocks had gigabyte internet at a time when gigabyte internet was not possible in most of America. It's part of the reason of the rise of the Romanian and Russian hackers, because they had really easy access to the internet from home in their comfy commie block.
