ACTUAL dating advice thread
I have thought that I am reasonably attractive, not just average, because I have a good jawline and I am tall. (And obviously not fat) However I have had almost no matches with online dating apps, Tinder, bumble, POF.
I had some nice photos taken of me by a friend, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I also put a lot of effort into a bio, but I don't really know if it is good.
I was was wondering if there was some way to pay to get my photos touched up digitally while they still look like me, and maybe someone here can give bio criticism?
The thing is that it would be minor tangible improvement but the results would have to be drastic for it to be worth it
ACTUAL dating advice thread
Post photos or your bio
Sounds like too much work. As someone who is also well equipped to paddle around in the dating pool, I strongly advise you just take it out in public and talk to women around you. You'd be surprised how often it works.
You might have overdone it
Post bio. don't do the touch ups. post the pics, if you're comfortable.
You mean the pictures? they aren't anything too fancy, but they aren't selfies. and have a nature backdrop
well I'm not going to post anything identifying, but I will give some details
I'm not saying I actively look great, just no significant physical flaws, just generally good body frame and facial bone structure. my haircut is "normal", and my clothes seem fashionable enough.
My bio starts off mentioning that I am easygoing, because in truth I really don't get upset about anything like politics, I live a pretty anger free life. I mention I like comedy, and people say I'm funny
for hobbies I have that I travel a lot (it's not really my thing but it is accurate and basically every girl my age, 21, is obsessed) and that I like hiking and boating when I am outdoors.
I put that I am open for more events to go to, and address the reader that maybe we could go together.
I sort of pulled it together looking at how most non-meme bios are formed
evidently it's not great, or the algorithm is bad.
>identifying
Not necessary. Post screenshot of profiles. Black out your face and name.
Good profiles on bumble/pof/okc are completely different from a good tinder profile
Just post your actual bio, stop trying to explain it in detail
>dating apps
Do you know your competitors? How do you stack against the other guys around your area?
did you actually just summarize it? the fuck dude just post it. judging from the way you're posting in this thread the algorithm is working fine.
1. Height doesn't matter as long as you are at least 5'9"
2. Women prefer cute faces - a face can be both cute and masculine, but It's the cuteness that matters more. Ed Sheeran wouldn't be making hundreds of millions of dollars a year if this wasn't true. I know this because It's the only reason I get laid
I don't want to actual wording to influence the suggestions, ie "you type like an autist, give up"
do you have any good way to phrase what I wanted to include in my bio?
>Good profiles on bumble/pof/okc are completely different from a good tinder profile
interesting, I used basically the same profile on all 3.
I know some women actually LIKE height, as in it is a positive feature, as opposed to it simply being a problem to be short.
I assume that is roughly the same as most places?
anybody?
bruh, women are gonna see every guy profile/text, make comparisons and will select their favorites. What you need to know is if you're at the top 10 and find out what they're doing right then adjust your self-presention accordingly.
And for the love of Christ almighty, don't do anything that would make you came across as insecure or desperate. There's virtually nothing makes a pussy drier than that shit.
>What you need to know is if you're at the top 10
I mean there is a LOT of people in the 50 mile radius, near a major city, so that's impossible. only idea I have is to get the photos enhanced. I wouldn't make myself look DIFFERENT, considering I actually have to meet them, just like the photographer was better.
I really dont know how this works because I have only one picture and a two word bio. Just got 3 nice matches in 3 days. Last time I tried with multiple pictures and a longer bio I only got a few ugly matches.
were you selective in particular?
>I know some women actually LIKE height, as in it is a positive feature, as opposed to it simply being a problem to be short.
There's your mistake. You fell for the tall meme, assuming being tall is an advantage, when in fact it is a disadvantage. Don't bring it up and you will increase your chances.
This time I only liked the good ones. Last time I liked pretty much everything. And Im talking about Tinder.
For about the 6th time, I opened an OkCupid account last night. I made the bio say, "I'm writing a book and need new or unique romantic experiences to help write a realistic plot, setting, etc." I obviously didn't use my own pic. Managed to get a single like, probably better than I've ever done before. But, as is required, I deleted the account just now after I woke up. I just want to put my penis in vagina and go to town. I have detached from most other human desires, but I can't seem to get over sexual frustration. But I wouldn't even call it "frustration." It's more like extreme curiosity. How can I say I sympathize with humans when I can't do among the most basic functions they can? Ah well
>"Looking for the Pam to my Jim"
>talk about liking adventures/traveling
>picture of you with an exotic animal/in an exotic place
>shirtless pic
>group pic
>fish pic
If you want to be a normal tinder guy do those things.
Judging from the thread the problem is probably
1) you just look pretty ugly
2) you write like an autist and out yourself in the first sentence of the bio
What the fuck are you on? Women constantly talk about how much they love tall guys, especially if there are no short guys around...
Tell me, what us your height?
That's why I'm look for some kind user to help me write this, but I really am decent looking beyond a shadow of a doubt. Not super attractive, I am not ripped or anything
Hes just falseflagging
