It would be better if they just accepted that the EU backed braindrain has further caused damage to their already ruined country leading to a skewered/uneven labour supply market where labour is low in supply thus leading Romanian (in this case) products and local goods to increase in price hurting their global competitiveness and preventing any national wealth mobility or chance for national improvement.

Forcing open border immigration is not only destructive for the culture, demographics, community integration of society, wage growth and public services in the host nation it also removes all the talent and skewers labour market in the country of origin whilst also forcing that same destructive requirement for migration on a yet poorer nation. They are moving foreign lower classes upwards by force and its leaving all sorts of issues in its wake. Controlled migration or reduced global migration patterns would likely result in global productivity rising up more in unison with an advantage for lower end economies due to their normally lower labour costs.
