Baptizm

So I'm thinking about getting baptized. Or whatever the word is.
I've never read the bible, though. Even though I think I just know most of it from life experience.
It's just that I gave up on physics explaining anything.
I just realized it literally doesn't matter what physics rules are, because they don't just happen in a vacuum.
My conclusions are any fairy tale might be right about creation.
I can't just die repeatedly to test it.
Seeing how people were actually moved to write shit about Jesus, it might be the real deal.
And at this point, I'll believe in anything because science just fails at it.
I wasn't baptized because my parents thought it was retarded.
I'll most likely still be a nobody afterward, but is the church forced to accept me?

Bump.
Maybe nobody cares. If I'm a lost soul, then I guess most of us are.

Your local church isn't important. You need to understand the significance of Jesus and baptism first, because baptism comes with salvation, salvation comes from faith, and faith comes from understanding.

>tfw brother was baptised but I wasn't

This, desu senpai

waste of time, jesus was a weak faggot

>getting baptized tomorrow at Easter Vigil
>have been so busy the last month with work and kids that I barely got to focus on spiritual things through the whole Lenten season

feels bad man, any tips to git gud in the next 28 hours

true baptism is waterboarding where you have a near death experience

Baptism without faith is completely useless, so is every other religious ritual.

To be honest, I don't know that it's the right path. It just looks less wrong than everything else.

Kent Hovind is a retard scam artist.

This. Reformed Christianity took out all the good stuff.

>because they don't just happen in a vacuum.
True vacuums can't exist, silly user
>Seeing how people were actually moved to write shit about Jesus, it might be the real deal.
That isn't exclusive to christianity
Every culture wrote about and venerated their prophets

Jews burned Notre dame:

dude, use christianity just as a moral compass.
no one actually follows every thing in the bible. the good thing about this religion is that people evolved to be beyong the literal book (something islam have not)
don't be inferior as to think every thing in the religion is sacred or due to be followed by the line. Just read about it, study and be a better person, to yourself, to your family and to your society
something islam lacks. A LOT

In Canada you go through something called RCIA's, where they teach you about the faith for a few months, and once you are ready, you get baptized and Confirmed on Holy Saturday (tomorrow)

Are you gonna be catholic? I did the rites for adults in catholicism all the way up to baptism, but they want to "do a minor exorcism first." So I lost interest, until this very moment. I have lived with the same concerns as you for the past couple of years. But to answer you're question. If you're going to be catholic, they don't have to accept you.

i think it's good to think of it this way

there is a spiritual dimension to life as a human being, certain questions and concerns that have nothing to do with science that ultimately boil down to art, myth, and religion. "What is the meaning of my life? How should I feel about death? What is the meaning of right and wrong and justice and wisdom?" all of these questions have been on our minds since the beginning. In every civilization people have explored these questions through religious tradition. In the great religions, we have huge bodies of writing and philosophy and myth through which these questions are explored. You will never "know" the entire truth, but you can catch glimpses of it through pursuing a religious discipline. In the West, our religion is Christianity, and there is such a huge body of work there. So many tools at our disposal for learning, thinking, meditation, and growing closer to the Divine Truth (Logos) which we know in this tradition as "God."

You may have this or that issue with Christianity, but almost all problems with it are completely peripheral and have nothing to do with the daily discipline of religious life, and they don't impede your ability to reveal meaning in life through the Christian faith.

Read The Gospel of John

I joined the Mormons around 2012, had to do the whole dunk baptism thing.

I thought it was actually pretty fun, the guy they had cobra-clutch me and slam me into the water was a glad lad, we had some great talks about military history and stuff after services.

Truth be told while I love the religion itself, I don't really believe in it the way guys who grew up in the church do. I actually told the missionaries that, they thought I was joking. I would be a Christian even if there is no Christ. I would worship God even if he doesn't exist. Not because I expect some divine reward but because Christianity, in its most conservative, traditional form, is objectively good for my people, my race, and my posterity.

Some people don't grasp this. I honestly don't understand why. The LDS, and certain other sects like radical Baptists, Opus Dei Catholics, etc, they're literally institutions that mass produce white people. Any idiot can talk about white identity white advocacy whatever whatever, but unless you have 2+ Children, you're part of the fucking problem. The only reason that we are in this situation to begin with is that we don't breed above replacement because whites are low time preference and judicious. Well, one Quiverfull Christian does more for our race than fifty sterile bugmen bitching on the internet.

Get. Your shit. In Order. THEN you can sit at the big boy table and discuss the future of our race with the adults, because until then you might as well be some millennial bugman faggot. Nobody else is going to do it for you. Nobody is coming to save you. Your parents failed you, the government failed you, the culture failed you--why the hell would you rely on anyone else, you know for a FACT that the entire system is rigged against you, there is no cavalry coming! You have to fight for yourself! I'll help however I can but I'm just a random chick, we're all just random people. You have to fight!

Do it user. At the very least committing yourself to a life void of degeneracy is never a bad thing.

Baste.

That's why it's important to learn so you can understand.
1. hear the word
2. understand it
3. accept or reject

You seem sincere. What questions do you have?

You need to cast jesus the kike aside and worship your blood and soil.

faith comes from understanding AND REPENTANCE*
youtube.com/watch?v=_l8aPUwsuts

should have said salvation comes from faith AND REPENTANCE*

I would say repentance follows faith but yes repentance is absolutely essential. If you don't have faith, you're not going to repent.

Anyone who calls Jesus or any Christian a kike is a brainlet who has no idea what that word means.

shallow spirituality masquerading as deep spirituality desu. read a book nigger

Ignore one world religion fags like this. Go to hell, Jew.

Not a good way to think, any non christian is going to hell. Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life NO ONE comes to the Father but by me". That is as clear as you can get. No way but Jesus

meant to quote:

Will you middle eastern christfags be larping as pagans on Sunday with your symbols of fertility (egg and rabbits etc)? kek

Attached: ChristcuckBehaviour.jpg (640x960, 102K)

do you not understand that it is a GOOD THING that Christianity "copied" paganism? These festivals are a continuity of the traditions of our ancient forebears. It is living tradition. By contrast, made up "rituals" performed by neopagans are completely bogus and have no tie to Tradition

There is no uniform paganism. Hindus are pagan. And how is worshiping a dead middle eastern kike European "tradition"?

it is the tradition of Europe for one to two thousand years.

Yeah and we've been pagans worshipping our OWN gods for tens of thousands of years.

Also he's not dead

No, but you're forced to accept the Church.
Take a bath instead.

Bahahahaha yeah I know m8, santa also really lives in the north pole too

those traditions, insofar as they are still alive, have morphed into Christianity and you will practice them more authentically if you practice traditional Western religion (aka Catholicism). You can't go back in time to the forms of religion that existed 3000 years ago because the line of succession is severed, and because the pieces we have are not sufficient to "reconstruct" them in anything but a surface-level way

BUMP.

Even though getting baptized without faith is putting the cart before the horse, so to speak, my prayer is that I leads you to Christ all the same.

Happy Good Friday, brother.

It's not severed at all, we still practice essentially everything we always have done. The holy festivals have just been slapped with a "Christcuck" sticker i.e Christmas.
Also, paganism has forever evolved, we don't have to practice exactly how our ancestors did 3,000 years ago, because neither did they practice their ancestors 6,000 years ago. The core principles of nature worship is all that matters.

>Adult Baptism

Attached: 1487947780892.png (500x495, 250K)

you obviously don't understand the meaning of baptism

enlighten me

I don't celebrate "Easter".

If someone wasn't raised Christian and finds Christ as an adult are they just supposed to not get baptized?

Naw that's cool but Anabaptists who don't baptize children deserve the rake. Also it's sad if you're white or even some types of brown your parents have no excuse for not raising you Christian.

Repentance comes from turning from one belief to another, repentance from SINS is completely different, and isn't a part of salvation
To say that you needs to turn from your sins to be saved means that you are adding works to salvation

Here is the true way to salvation, through faith alone in what Jesus has done for you:
youtube.com/watch?v=-fGxOCJCRpA

spiritual baptism is what most call "being born again". It's when you hear the gospel, understand it, realize how evil you are and repent from your sinful life and surrender yourself to Jesus so he can breathe new life in to you. That new life is a spiritual baptism, that is being born again.
The water baptism is a ceremony that Jesus commanded his disciples to perform. The ceremony represents dying and being reborn (dunked underwater represents the grave, then re-emerging with a gasp of new breath), just as Jesus died and rose again.

The water baptism does not save you. It's the baptism of the soul, the rebirth of the spirit, which is a result of repentance and faith in Jesus, that saves you. This is why infant baptism is wrong. Ask a baby why they died to their past sinful life to follow Christ.

Wrong, enjoy hell sinner.
Jesus said go and sin no more!
youtube.com/watch?v=PucB5hA2giI

Sinning means you have no faith. Repentance from sin means you fear God and you trust Jesus. You can't willfully sin and expect to go to heaven. So if you choke your chicken and watch porn, enjoy hell.

ask yourself why a universe racing toward entropy also takes time to create a planet full of complex multi-cellular organisms capable of perceiving the enormity of what they're a part of.

Matthew 5:29-30
>29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
>30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.

Has nothing to do with my post

Meant to quote My apologies quoted wrong post

No other religion has accurately predicted the future the way the Bible has. No other faith offers salvation through Grace as a gift, there's always a hidden catch in the others. With Jesus there's no catch, if you call on him, he'll answer.

Why should a child be baptized?

Search for the closest SSPX parish.

:) welcome home bro we accept you

>Sinning means no faith
But the only man who hasn't sinned is Jesus. Guess faith doesn't actually exist.

>so he can breathe new life in to you.
That seems like a good rationalization of it, but I've never heard of that before. Any sources on it? From what I've read Jesus is baptized, and he tells the disciples to baptize others, but I'm unaware of any scriptural basis for all that "you have to understand the gospel" stuff.

It's part of being saved. If you were a parent, wouldn't you want that for your child? It's the first sacrament in life, and it's special because just like God gives you gifts, ideally it's a grace you receive from your parents. Confirmation can come when you're older.

Sinning after being "saved" means no faith. Repentance means to make a change. Jesus said you must be born again. When you repent, you must willfully sin no more. If you repent and then willfully sin again, its a fake repentance because you are not fully trusting Jesus. Trusting Jesus = believing that you will go to heaven when you die so worldly things do not entice you.

If you give in to worldly temptations/enticement after having repented, you have not repented.

Do it user. if you are feeling drawn to God at all, it is a sign that He is revealing himself to you. These supernatural gifts from God are called grace, and are offered to many, but spurned by most. In time, the pull will grow stronger and if you still your mind you can be guided by it.

>I'll most likely still be a nobody afterward, but is the church forced to accept me?
the church will accept you, not because they are forced to, but because we have all been accepted by God the Father through our faith in his son Jesus Christ.

So in most theological teachings the church is the literal body of Christ. Hence, as a member of the church (not the building nor do you have to hang out with others on Sunday to be in “the chirch) you are literally a part of Jesus. Remember that the “wages of sin are death”. Jesus died, hence the church died, hence you died - aka were saved from the cost of sin: death. Jesus was reborn and you were also reborn.
-t. A diest. (I know that doesn’t make sense - I just know theology)

Watch this and you will understand,
youtube.com/watch?v=_l8aPUwsuts

Far better than anything that Steven Anderson deceiver will teach you

Honestly, the libertarian to alt right pipeline was real. And the alt right to Kingdom of God pipeline is also real. You'll see some of the best, most rigorous, and boldest studying of scripture on Jow Forums. What a world, eh?

People who seek out the lower case 't' truth tend to end up at the capital 't" Truth.

omg lok at that gay fag frenchie doggie weewee sucker

You seem to be sneaking in the weasel word "willfully" there a couple times. Want to elaborate on how you can unwillfully sin?

It's a wonderful metaphor, but I think it's a stretch to be like
>Jesus reborn
>this things could be imagined as a metaphorical rebirth
>therefore...you have to understand what you're doing to be reborn

Do I have to watch the entire thing? tl;dr?

stfu stupid. imma fuck who i want and do what i want with my body. stfu backwards retard

Look into orthodoxy, but very happy to hear you are coming to faith. Praise Jesus!

oof, if not trolling.
