To terraform the moon you are going to need more than trees.
You need mass in order to retain that atmosphere without it liquid water just shoots out into space along with the atmosphere.
If you increase mass to the moon, you make a mess out of the earth thanks to increased tidal forces.thanks mainly to the moons newfound mass.
Earth orbit becomes erratic and it either careens of into deep space or straight into the sun.

Planetary atmospheres are a waste of volatiles.

First off: you don't want to terraform the Moon. its two-week long days, and two-week long nights would result in nightmare storms across its surface. Not to mention even after it was terraformed, you would have to pump a big comet into its atmosphere every 100 years to maintain its ocean and or atmosphere.

The moment that shield is turned on Mars' atmosphere will start adjusting to a new equilibrium. Without the constant stripping force of the solar wind, slow but constant geological outgassing will build, and raise atmospheric density and surface temperatures to the point that Mars' poles' dry ice fractions will begin to rapidly sublimate.
Once that is well in-hand, much of the polar ice and ground ice will melt. All told, the process would take a century or less from the moment the shield is activated; just a single project would automatically restore 1/7th of Mars' ancient oceans (the rest of the water has been blasted off by the solar wind) and thicken the atmosphere, making it much safer for exploration and colonization.
