Reading about Russia's economy, it is developing way more domestic industries and systems than you would expect for its size. Microprocessors, passenger jet airframes, nuclear technology, payment processing, etc. Russia is even "nativizing" production of stuff like chemical fertilizer (pic related).
Why does Russia want to withdraw from the global economy and do everything on its own?
So that the rest of the world can’t really do shit to them outside of actual war. Also making things in-house gives you more security than outsourcing. Quality, on the other hand, is another subject.
Jacob Rodriguez
Maybe they are tired of being a shithole. Every hundred years or so they try to catch up with the rest of civilization.
Chase Baker

Take a wild guess retard... Americans.
Jonathan Johnson
Why wouldn't you want to be self-sufficient?
Jack Morales
Good for them considering the West will be brown and completely incapable of doing anything besides destroying itself in a generation or so. They need to remain independent or too face destruction.
Jayden Sanchez
Because industry is actual economy. Patents and designs can easily be stolen, but you either have shipbuilding or you dont. Outsourcing actual production is meme
Alexander Sanchez
>it is developing way more domestic industries and systems than you would expect for its size
>Why is Russia trying to become an autarky? Why isn't every country trying to limit its dependence on other nations and become as self-sufficient as it can?
Because GDP measures monetary value of goods produced, no one wants to buy Russian trucks so due to low prices GDP input of trucking industry is low. But the ability to actually make trucks for civ/military applications is worth much more
Alexander Clark
The US doesn't have the power to isolate Russia. Russia trades a lot more with the EU than with the US. Russian trade is mostly European and East Asian. The US is not a major factor.
Carson Barnes
To reduce sanction damages
Joseph Butler
Where are the Russian guns, cars, TVs, computers, smartphones, ovens, refrigerators, clothes, furniture, whatever....? Surely there is something you build that the west wants.
Asher Nguyen
Because they are not up to quality of similiar products. Also people seem to want buy russian weapons, nuclear reactors, so there are some thing that we can sell
kek, yeah, the Mongols are trying to be human again, it should collapse in on itself in 20 years.
Jeremiah Baker
Russia has no ship building. They cant produce ships larger than frigates.
Cameron Jenkins
>Why does Russia want to withdraw from the global economy and do everything on its own? gee iunno, maybe diversify their economy to withstand economic shakes, maybe have some goods to trade with the world. Maybe the US should actual do the same instead of selling out to china.
Because russian weapons are much cheaper than western weapons. Not surprising when you see how much western defense contracters will jew governments for every little thing.
Christopher Howard
If you rely too much on global finance then America tends to dictate to you. Obviously Russia doesn’t want that. It will be interesting to see. I always used to think Nazi germany would have failed eventually because America and Britain were more capitalist and rich so would eventually just buy Germany out. Russia is resistant to that.
This and they will benefit enormously from it. Short term sanctions hurt countries, long term ones force indigenous development, look at North Korea.
Levi Parker
I’ll ask some silly questions. Why isn’t your quality where it needs to be? Will it ever get better? It’s no secret how Americans, Japanese, or Koreans make things that people want. Why not Russia? Do you ever see that changing?
Aaron Martinez
Technically true. France owns lada.
Xavier Edwards
>guns Second biggest weapons exporter after US >cars Were always shitty, but then again only usa/jap/korea/ger are making cars for mass market. >tvs Jap/korean dominated >computers All the fabs are in asia, all the design centers are in usa/jap/korea. We make enough for military tasks.
It’s unfair to compare russia with “west” but comparing back-to-back with similiar countries we do fine
Brayden Anderson
all manufactured in china, where they jack all the schematics and make it cheaper to undercut US production.
Cooper Perez
The US is pressuring the EU with threats of sanctions not to deal with Russia or Iran. They may not have the absolut power, but they try what they can.
We do not have any high technology manufactured in China. Airplanes for instance. I’ve also never even seen a Chinese car in my life.
Jeremiah Edwards
This.
It has to be scary living in a place vilified by the West, using Microsoft products for example. It would be chaos in a war. Forget currently supply lines. Revoke excel licences and watch governments spin out of control
Just tell the US to fuck off. The EU is a larger economy than the US; Europe has no excuse here.
Ian Lopez
>Why isn’t your quality where it needs to be? Legacy from soviet times - without market economy there was little incentive to improve quality. >Will it ever get better? It is great in IT/Nuclear/Weapons/Oil/Telecom - those industries that make money. There is no point in trying to match german cars on quality, because market is already saturated - so it's a bad investment. >It’s no secret how Americans, Japanese, or Koreans make things that people want. Aka electronics, in which USA/JAP/KOR are indisputable leaders, and unless you have some groundbreaking technology that can take on existing industry there is no point in competing. We produce enough electronics for military/internal needs.
Things are improving in areas that are profitable
John Garcia
Just an example - compared to Korea or USA, we don't. Compared to Brazil - we very much do.
Landon Stewart
one hell of a light pole tho
Bentley Hernandez
Norilsk is the best place in the world (to put Jews into).
Adam Watson
Like someone who stands under US payment roll wants to fuck off. The US lobbyism in the EU way to lucrative for the rats in the politics. We suffer Americans, like you suffer Jews.
Jason Peterson
>Why is Russia trying to become an autarky?
This is a brilliant plan. The United States and all its diversity will be wiped from the Earth probably very soon by Russian and China. I can't wait. I hope I live just long enough to see everyone in this country suffer endlessly. Americans deserve everything that's coming to them.
Michael Bailey
Nah, USA will slowly drift into brazil-like state, I'd say for 100-200 years, there won't be any big happenings
Dominic Lee
This. Also nice meme flag American
Leo Morales
being an autarky is better during wartime, and Russia has been sanctioned to hell for many years, forced to figure out independent solutions to their needs instead of relying on global trade.
Robert Miller
I'd prefer a nuclear holocaust, but I'll take Brazilification as a consolation prize.
>analogue or hybrid computers I smell coding fuckery
Ian Perry
This pic is so aesthetic man
Tyler Robinson
Because they are big enough and resource rich enough to be independent. Just like the US. We can do and build everything at home if it wasn’t for bankers trying to maximize profits. Same goes for Russia.
Leo Hall
Kek we gave that shit away for a shekel. When WWIII happens we’ll be facing cost reduced de-botnetted versions of all our own tech.
Michael Long
Based russki.
Liam James
>Why does Russia want to withdraw from the (((global economy))) and do everything on its own?
Juan Martin
>implying that there's something uniquely hard about implementation that only the US can do Nice hubris.
Jacob Miller
We're talking about a lot of stuff that is recent or under development, like Rosatom's nuclear barges. This is a new product category altogether.
>Nazi germany would have failed eventually because America and Britain were more capitalist and rich so would eventually just buy Germany out. Russia is resistant to that. Except Germany was outperforming those economies who needed to war to get out of the depression.
Jack White
So how do they produce the largest nuclear icebreakers on earth? 20+ ton displacement.
there actually are russian refrigerators that are being sold in Germany, I have one myself. About Military: We sell them to quite a few people, but why should we sell it to the west? You just sanction such transactions and you'd rather buy anglo and kike weapons, even if they were inferior.
Daniel Wright
Yes but the crucial difference here is they are producing for their domestic market. Have you seen the reviews of Russian Elbrus CPUs? Of course not, filthy foreigners aren’t allowed to have them and Russians aren’t squealing about their performance either.
Long term sanctions are doing their job, which is to make Russia entirely self sufficient. They are now sanction retardant.
Levi Hall
Thats what we should be doing. Fuck the world let it die.
They actually build a lot of cars, but they're mostly based on german cars. No one outside of the US actually wants american cars, they just suck.
Dominic Jackson
The user you responded to believed Russia had no working tanks before they invaded Georgia. Our defense analysts and shills are both stupid and lazy and stopped providing honest assessments of adversary nations by the late 1980s.
Connor Cook
We Americans all buy Toyota anyway.
Ryan Parker
Shut up Mohammad!
William Kelly
Found the nazi-wannabe baltfag. They're OPSSESSED with GDP and other (((stats))) as a tool to argue that their countries are shit holes.
Christian Wright
I like your style!
William Garcia
Very intelligent. But i'm still russian, just stuck in this shithole called Germany
Russia is so big they have everything. Did you know they have aids?
Justin Brooks
Putin is seeing the collapse coming, he is no retard.
Besides he doesnt want to make the US or china strong enough.
Jacob Watson
Yeah, Poles have to work for AIDS overtime in European brothels. Those russkies have it easy.
Joshua Gutierrez
POO IN SUBARU
Perhaps they came over with gaymergate and simply can't function in a world that doesn't have two numbers whose comparison determines the outcome?
Jordan Perez
>When the currency loses value, then half the economic capabilities just vanish into thin air. brainlet. and looking at PPP Russia is suddenly the first or second biggest economy of Europe. whoops.
Jonathan Nelson
I mean if all we do is fuck places up when we help, why don't we let the middle east burn and Africa starve. We have all we need right here, put up the wall and close off to the world. It will implode overnight without our foreign aid, military protection, and endless support. We should ignore the world and sit back while it destroys itself. Of course all the while profiting while selling weapons, medicine and food. We should be number one and the rest of the planet should be reduced to ashes and wastelands.
It's about to go to war with eastern europe to secure it's gas pipeline as it is like 1/3 of the Russian economy
Ryder Fisher
In short, the reason we don’t do that is Jews.
Liam Butler
>It will implode overnight without our foreign aid, military protection, and endless support. More like every third world dictator would get their hands on nukes if you pulled out of everywhere, and the muzzies would start using them immediately. Thank you jews for inventing nukes!
That’s retarded, Europe is already hooked on Russian gas. Germany would depopulate itself in a week if Russia turned off the gas yet they claim that they still like and need NATO.
In reality Merkel and Putin are working together.
Jayden Williams
Why isn't YOUR country trying to become one? Read Aristotle.
Caleb Young
Nukes aren’t real, it’s code for various exotic elemental fulminates. And anybody can make them at home.
