Literally this, though. Weed is literal Soma, it makes you content with suboptimal socioeconomic situation because it makes literally everything pleasant because of the massive dopamine release. By the time you developed anhedonia so that you need to smoke everyday, you have smoked enough to damage your Prefrontal Cortex and affect your memory, so you don’t even remember most of your life, it’s all a dim haze to you.
