It has physical gun stores, but the legislation is so that you not only need to be qualified, but you also need to be employed to buy guns legally (other than BP which are unregulated).
I'm still not going to be done with college for a couple of years, though I'm considering getting a job, even part time, just to get that requirement out of the way.
The problem is that you can't stockpile either. Ammo consumption cards and whatnot.
And even with all that in the past, the gun selection isn't great. You can have handguns just fine, but for rifles you're stuck with a bolt gun, or fixed mag semi automatic a la M1. SKS isn't allowed because people imported mag conversion kits and they simply restricted SKS's as military weapons.
I've been half-seriously considering getting a lever gun when I can. It seems like the best middle ground of all.

It's the Canadian restricted license, restricted firearms (Handguns, AR-15) have to be discharged at a range as opposed to private or public land. Anyway OP isn't posting his guns / license so that user is saying he's probably noguns.

Canadians don’t have carry licenses, they can basically only be carrying on their own property, a range or hunting innawoods (with the proper weapon, ammunition and game tags).
Scary pistols and rifles are generally “restricted” which means trigger or cable lock as well as a locking container. These weapons are ONLY allowed to be loaded and fired at a registered range, and owners must always take the shortest path to and from the range in case the guns suddenly get loose and cause a mass shooting.
Fudd guns only need a trigger or cable lock.
Ammunition is supposed to be stored “away” from the firearm, but whether or not it needs to be in a locking container is left vague because otherwise they’d be committing a felony if they bought ammunition at the store and didn’t bring a locking container with them.
Canadian laws are about halfway between ultra-cucked states like NY or California.

The SXP is an alright shotgun. Nothing compared to the original 1100s, but you can still slamfire it. I've shot SXPs as fast as I've shot autos. It's turkshit quality though so buyer beware
