There is no shame in honest work. If in doubt I suggest getting a trade skill. I chose electrical, but they are all good. All have great opportunities for pay, including side hustles (tax free), keep you physically fit, and don't require college debt. Going this route has been very good to me.

Doesn't matter what order you do those steps in. For example, you can sell a strangle and then hedge the tested side, or buy a stock with shorting the call, or buy a stock and sell a strangle to make it much cheaper.

It took me over a year to understand how options work. Now, thinking in terms of options lays out the mechanics of reality. Take your time, but learn it well. The TastyTrade shows are seriously WTF until it starts to click.

Also, if you have debts, consider TDAmeritrade. The fee structure is not favorable, but they have additional features that are useful. For example, I use only credit cards that give cashback. I pay them off every month with my TDA account. With equity in your account, even if you don't have the cash on hand, the payment goes on margin, which is a much lower interest rate than a credit card. Also, if you have a big expense coming up in the future, put extra cash into CDs that expire the month before you know you will need that cash. That way, the money is not likely to be spent away while the modest interest helps counter inflation.
