I agreed but qualified that by saying that they separated from the herd of Cursed Jews when they followed Jesus. They and now us, are the Chosen People. The "Jews" are not a race. Judaism is a Pharasaic interpretation of the Old Testament and an expansion of that interpretation in the Oral Torah.
Calling the original religion of the original Jews "Judaism" is going to be highly confusing, because there is a cognitive dissonance with Christians believing this, because Christianity itself is a rebellion against this interpretation, as well as an expansion of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
It's like saying that Islam came from Christianity. Muslims themselves have a different interpretation of The Bible and their own additions, and they believe that they are the true inheritors of the religion of Abraham.
In short, the original religion of the Jews split off into Judaism and Christianity, with Christianity being the absolute predominant Abrahamic faith.
Modern "Jews" are followers of the Pharasaic tradition and Christians are followers of the traditional form (many Christian's literally believe the entire Bible)
