A few days ago I had a nightmare that my dog died. Violently too its seems, because i was gathering and burying his peices in the coyote infested wooded area by my house.

Yes but I can only control them to the point where I know I'm dreaming and can actively change the outcomes of the dreams, but not the input. The events/input that occur I cannot control, but I can influence the outcome and am aware of the fact that it's a dream/different world.

Oh I think I know why. I have them by accident, when my body is paralyzed. For me I always could control how I interact with the surroundings and happenings, but I didn't create them.

I had a weird dream once. I was in a post apicalyptic world, where massive crimes happened and people formed a militia, took control and shot people for resources and power. I was one of the people shot at, but I dodged and was hiding. However he had a machine gun and during his wide spraying some bullets striped me, so I felt a little pain and rush. Then later I went on a train and saw the killer. I talked 1 on 1 with him, told him an alternative to what he does and told him why he is wrong. He promised me to stop and go through with it. He went out of the train and I was still riding for a while. Then I stepped out. Men with suits and sun glasses appeared and told me to Freeze. Then they walked me to their place where their base is. They told me the killer sent them, who appeared to be some kind of leader. I clarified the facts for them too, but they just made fun of me and told me if what I say is true and this is all a rectifying period before the gods and Buddhas will appear, then I surely must be special too. They said they will listen to me if they'll shoot me and I'll survive. So I continued walking and they started shooting at me, but I stayed calm and I was sure that the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords will save me. Then something weird happened and all of a sudden the other resistent fighters who were before me looked shocked and started bowing to me and calling me the promosed one of the scriptures.

Come to think of it, I never realized how weird it was for a little kid to think like that.
But yeah these nightmares took place from the age of like 4-7. At least weekly, sometimes daily. By the time I was 7 I knew what to do. Used a variety of means, jumping was frequent. Stabbing myself in the chest or neck worked too. Ran out into traffic. Put my head through a glass window, though that one took a while.
The really scary ones where when I would try to kill myself but couldnt succeed. That was some wierd shit.

But I seldom dream anymore. Once in a while, maybe every few months. Some good, some bad, most weird.

I receive messages at times, like thoughts in my head I should have no knowledge of. It was particularly common around the 2016 election.
So, for example, I got stuck on the phrase "What is the name of God?" for days and days. I then thought of the phrase "Nem Ismerem" which turned out to mean "I don't know" in Hungarian. There was no way I could know a single word of Hungarian.
Later on, the word "Tetragrammaton" came to me, and I again thought of the name of God. And then I looked it up and found it referred to YHWH - Yahweh. How the fuck would I have randomly come across such a word? I haven't read anything where I could have seen these words by chance. It's simply impossible.
The majority of the times this happens, the word is in English.
But these are just some of the most egregious oddities.
I found my favorite band this way as well, I suddenly had an urge to search for "The Symposium"
I had never been into music before that, nor had any friends who were, yet somehow I knew I had to make that search.
I used to keep a list of these words along with the dates I received them.
I wouldn't have believed consciousness existed prior to the material world had I not experienced it firsthand so many times.
