The real question is "why do asians call poop 'buttmeat'?"

I mean it is like you try to explain to them they are not supposed to eat it.. but they just tell you "what? it's buttmeat!". Then they continue to eat it while looking at you like you're the idiot in the conversation.

No

Yes, the European Christian millennium was heaven without penicillin.

it started with enlightnments for promote renaissance (renew in english ?)
actually in france it was also promoted by the shcool of michelet wich was the famous historian of the XIXcentury in france and his work have been widely used in schools till the renew of historiography with l'école des annales started taking a more objective look at this period.
idk about english historiography desu.

The dark ages only lasted for 500 years as a result of imperial Rome collapsing and the immediate need for survival. Anything past that is a meme.

We also just use the word Renaissance, when trying to explain what it means we typically translate as "rebirth"

>muh penicillin
> takes HRT
ahhh much better

naturally progress slowed as a result of the roman empire breaking up but blaming Christianity for suppressing science is a gay jew lie oc

They were called "dark" not because something awful happened back then.

It's because there was such a scarcity of written history from those centuries that historians from the following centuries had no way to know what exactly happened back then. So they called it the "dark age", because there were no written accounts to bring light on what happened during those centuries.

I'd like to add that there is a swastika pattern in the image you just posted.

They are the dark ages because they didn't exist.

◄ Revelation 16:10 ►

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast,
and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed
their tongues in agony

the dark ages are going to return, to put it in terms of
reality, people are going to lose all that stolen knowledge
they have and be complete and total fucking morons.
light = knowledge darkness = dumb fucks.

Imagine if the www just ceased to exist.
It wouldn't be the end of the world or civilization, but we'd have to focus on things other than documenting every moment of our mind-numbingly dull lives.

How many "coders" today know machine language? Imagine having a computer with no BIOS and a bunch of cut and paste script kiddies trying to make it work. They'd have all the tools at their fingertips but we've forgotten how this shit actually works. We'd figure it out again but it would take time. Hell, when Rome collapsed, it took us 1000 years to relearn how to make concrete. We only recently (1990s) figured out the secret to Roman concrete longevity was not chemical but application technique. To the Romans, it was no secret but it was so commonplace that no one bothered to document it though their entertainment was very well documented.

>it was no secret but it was so commonplace that no one bothered to document it though their entertainment was very well documented
Or, rather, "Quintilius Varanus's Treatise on Road Construction" just wasn't one of the 6 books Brother Matthew managed to shove into his bag before he ran into the forest to escape the snownigger raid that burned down his monastery and the library inside it

there is a huge hole in the historical record during this time. Not a lot going on, no advancement in technology, not a lot of literature, or art, or anything really.

pic related, look at how the art degenerates towards the end

your pic was built before the dark ages....

also it wasnt a myth. Euro barbar- *cough*... red headed white niggers trashed the empire and everything it created and allowed muslims to take the east and south.

the only thing 'dark' about them is the lack of Judaism in Europe during that period, its quite literally the only reason scholars in 1300's first mentioned it and dubbed it so

No it's not anlie because it fucking happened only christkike larpers that need to justify there belief say shit like that

the lack of semitic niggers and shit skins is why the Italian shit skin first called it the 'dark ages' kek

>DARK ages
The white europeans were almost wiped out.
Also the name Black Plague implies the same.

Yeah. It's all a lie.

Somewhat if you consider renaissance era thinkers the OG fedora tippers.

It's not a lie. Christians destroyed Classical culture.

The only reason why people think it's a lie is because a few politically motivated historians pushed it too far so now all christcucks have to do is point out that someone somewhere wrote something to disprove them.

But yes, there was a dark age and yes it was mostly caused by Christians.

wasn’t there an occupying force in europe between about 700s-1400s AD.. I thought I remembered something about this..

The moors ruled Spain for hundreds of years.

It's not a lie, sure
But it was MUSLIMS that destroyed classical culture with their destruction of North African farms, attacks on Christian civilization and filling the Med with pirates which was the real end of Pax Romana

Get fucked you moron, Henri Pirenne was right

Pax Romana ended long before even Muhammad was born you absolute cretin

Christians sure did, ending the degenerate and multicultural Roman empire (for only 100 years).

This. There was a dark age in greek history too, purely called so because there are no written records.

The "dark age" happened because rome fell and barbarians were attacking non-stop.
Christian scholars tried their best to keep knowledge alive by copying books their entire lives.

People who say "but only muh church had access to those important infos" are delusional who think the plebs EVER had access to info before the 1800's . It was always a nobility / religious authority thing. Ask how many romans in 50 BC could read

christians were the ones attacking.

Why are people forgetting ERI?? A thousand yo empire.

The dark ages are considered to begin at the death of Theodosius the Great (last ruler of the united Roman Empire in AD395, so the entire bottom line of rulers are all from the dark ages.

Here's a fun fact - the first King of Rome (753BC) and the last Emperor of Rome (AD476) were both named Romulus.

>It's not a lie. Christians destroyed Classical culture.

Yeah, right, that's why no one has ever heard of Homer or Plato or Aristotle right? That's why no one has any records of the orations of Cato or the literature of Virgil?

The only reason all of this literature still exists is because the ROMAN Catholic Church saved and preserved classical culture. The barbarians who conquered Rome were in turn conquered by the Catholic religion and in time were assimilated into Roman culture.

Western culture was created by the assimilation of the barbarian tribes to Roman culture and tradition, preserved by the Catholic church.

Without Christianity, the illiterate pagan barbarians would have torched and exterminated classical culture completely and today we would have no idea who Plato was. It's actually kind of ironic when you really think about it but it is true.

It's always amusing to have this debate, knowing how important hellenistic thinking was considered in the early church. Aristotle was considered the ultimate authority for well over a thousand years after the roman empire fell.

Dude, saying there was no dark age because of the Easter Roman Empire is like saying there wasntna dark age because of the Japanese Empire.

The dark age refers ONLY to the Western Europe.
Which is another argument against the whole "Christans were keeping the knowledge of the world down" idea. The other 90% of the world that wasnt the west europe was doing okay. Its not the Christians fault

Based leaf

the dark ages was mostly a western Europe thing. because ya know when western roman collapsed it was a free for all with the barbarian warlords. they didn't have time for sitting on the couch discussing Plato and philosophy or keeping records because

the gold even gets cheaper as they go. that top row is 18k+ bottom row barely 10k

sauce??

I like the Olybrius one. You can tell they really half ass'd that one.

they have one track minds and they ain't too smart.

Remember everything is inversely remembered: "the enlightenment brought darkness and the "dark ages were actually a golden age within Western Civilization.

Yes, obviously

Looks like it first started to appear in the early 19th century, followed by a huge spike in the early 20th century, finally becoming part of the common lexicon in the late 20th century.

To answer your question: No.
