>one job posted >thousands of applicants Isn't this just fucked up? Especially when they are just entry level jobs like buyers assistant.
Imagine thousands of people in your local area competing for a job. Why would they ever consider you? And why is it so hard to get a job? Did they lie about the employment rate because this certainly doesnt look healthy in my book.
It's just economics. If you can't stand out then you aren't competitive. If you aren't competitive then don't worry there are lots of options for you like living in a shit-hole and being disrespected by everyone.
Blake Gomez
I once applied to Burger King. They thought I was a female due to my name. I went to the interview but never heard back again. That's the white male privilege for you in a nutshell.
Jacob Myers
Buyer's assistants are the lowest level jobs. They require almost zero training and have a massive pool of candidates (probably the only people excluded are disabled somehow). It stands to reason that they have a giant pool of applicants.
This is the reason your parents told you to get an education. You have access to jobs which are less competitive.
I know, your CS degree isn't opening doors because EVERYONE today wants to be a programmer. There are lots of jobs in trades which pay but you have to get your hands dirty and get up at 6 AM. That's just the market, in your socialist utopia, you'd be put there because that's what happens when there are shortages in that system.
>go for a job interview as software engineer >first do a personality test >then first time interview >then group interview >then a general aptitude test >then a second interview with a supervisor >then do some retarded software skill test >finally get the call that I was rejected
Yes, the government lies about the unemployment rate. The real unemployment rate is over 25% and it gets worse every year.
Grayson Sanchez
>muhhhhhh jawwwwwwbs
evolve or die create your own jawwwb
Brandon Cook
Unless you're some dumb commie, you should've realized your value is based on what you can provide for others. If you don't have any useful skills or competence then you deserve to starve, sorry to say
Ryder Hernandez
>apply for a job >get rejected The only joke is you
Colton Phillips
Why the US has a huge homeless population
Hudson Parker
Apply for help desk technician or I.T jobs. I've interned at an office and all of the I.T was on a its own floor. It was pretty chill environment, and where called only to fix simple simple things. Most of the time we are just messing around with tinker boards, setting up computers, checking the server, or browsing Jow Forums. Just go into the interviews making it seam, like you have other offers. Say you have another interview after this one. The interview is more social, than it is for skilled. Practice by making small conversion with random people. Strangers eventually won't seem like strangers.
like you would fucking know anything about America besides an internet article and a bullshit parent-paid trip to New York faggot
Jason Diaz
>companies post entry level positions >need 3-5 years experience welp, looks like we need more immigrants!
Jack Moore
I saw plenty of homeless whites in SF and elsewhere
Jace Green
>get tired neeting >see ad in craigslist for light industrial assembly work, temp to hire position >call guy on the phone, he says to come interview tomorrow >show up next day expecting to have to answer questions >guy just starts showing me around the factory and it's clear that I'm already in >go to work, sign up for overtime whenever possible, learn to do the various tasks at the factory >shift supervisor tells me to put in an application with the corporation so that I get paid vacation and other benefits >I got the job >supervisor of another shift who knows me because I work overtime during his shift tells me that in 6 months or so when I'm ready to move on to a more specialized job that I should send an application his way Work is easy.
Jack Brown
AMERICA IS A COMMUNIST COUNTRY, YOU FUCKING RETARD
WE HAVE A JEWISH CENTRAL BANK THAT CREATES FIAT AND LITERALLY GIVES IT TO NIGGERS
Justin Cox
Get good. Make a better resume. Lie in interviews. Don’t be a boring cunt.
Alternatively, you can go to a uni or trades school and get an apprenticeship. Or an accelerated learning program at an accreddited center. It’s your fault if you won’t try. Business don’t send you applications.
Mason Ross
Be better or lie on your resume. I have a high paying job I am not qualified for, but my resume says I should and I can bullshit in an interview. Been here 2 years and no one knows I'm unqualified.
Jason Edwards
Do what the masses do, get what the masses get. Common sense.
Daniel Rivera
Yeah I don’t put up with that shit. I tell them on the phone interview I’m sending in my portfolio and doing 1 in person interview. If that’s not enough it’s no deal. You know who doesn’t make me do that shit? The US government.
Tyler Sullivan
>tfw 30 years old >only experience in retail
How the fuck do I escape, lads?
Camden Lee
>inb4 firm handshake Did boomers really have it this easy?
Where do you live you fucking LARPer It's hard to even get a 7.25$ job in georgia
I didnt, not enough for it to be an abnormally huge problem for the entire country like it is now
Nathaniel Gonzalez
That’s not how any industry works. It’s not about competition anymore, it’s about hiring candidates who can “increase diversity,” which is simply code for hiring brown people and women who companies are comfortable with paying less.
Easton Rivera
>get your hands dirty and get up at 6 AM This actually sounds fun. How do I get into this without going to debt in trade school? Already have massive student loans.
Owen Rogers
A lot of those are highschool kids. 70% of applications instantly are disregarded. Its hella easy to find pleb labor.
Blake Perry
I negotiated with a recruiter to pay for my certifications so I’d be qualified to work there once. I left a month later for contracting elsewhere.
Jason Sullivan
What is a normal distribution?
Dylan Walker
Post secondary education centers typically cost like 16,000/year for a 9 month - 2 year course and set up like a 200/month payment plan after you qualify for loans and what not
Cooper Cooper
The most fucked-up thing about modern America is how much money and benefits fed government employees get. FAR more than the equivalent job in the private sector, and with far less stress about losing one's job. Basically the only good employer now is the federal government, and then everybody else is a peasant, broke, living in constant fear of losing one's job, constant fear of having a health problem, basically living in hell. The peasants live in hell, while the fat cats working for the federal government prosper in mcmansions in Virginia and Maryland.
Luis Myers
If you are a tard then get into a trade.
Blake Wright
Pretty steep when you already have 200k in student loans. Wish I hadn't listened to my parents tell me to go to college and grad school. Goddammit.
Noah Collins
Depending on industry and age of the guy you're talking to, you really can gain a lot of respect for a firm handshake. Shows you're not a weakling.
Benjamin Jones
too many idiots. Fast food places should be 1 adult manager and all teenage staff
I managed 2 years and I was on the verge of psychosis by the end , I can't see how normies manage it. People in this county are such cunts.
John Rogers
I stroke his palm a little bit with a finger while shaking hands you know. Just show I'm willing to do whatever it takes.
Kayden Harris
Not enough actual factory jobs for that. This isnt the 50s.
Christian Perez
Dude that sucks. I'm in Pennsylvania and made $12.80/hr starting at the factory. Now with the 401k matching I effectively get about $1 more. And the insurance benefits are sweet. Get the job, show up for the job, don't be an asshole. Things work out. Or if they don't, grab a different job.
Aaron Smith
it's called capitalism. they probably hired an asian or interned a roastie for $18/hr
Camden Lopez
Not sure. Just be glad for what you can get. Don't expect my ass to go anywhere as walmart is the best paying job I will ever have at $14/hr
You can join the military and get a trade with some experience through there or you can become a journeyman while doing your certs.
Getting a start can be tough if you know no one, so the military is a better option here.
Nicholas Campbell
>misanthropy due to retail jobs My advice is examine your own behavior when you're a customer, even knowing how you should behave having been on the receiving end. Something about the customer situation turns ordinary people into rude assholes who wouldn't otherwise be that way in different situations. Don't know why that is, but it's true. Even you do it, I guarantee you.
Levi Wright
It's easy once you're in and if you stay in. What's hard is getting in.
Noah Campbell
...
Hunter Young
You should start a patreon and post your “people of Walmart” photos there instead. Patreon is behind a paywall so it would be easier for you to get money for your work.
The amount of neo-libertarian cucks and edgy "cull the weak" cucks here is astonishing.
Easton Harris
So you make like 3k a month?
Connor King
So go to a temp agency. They're all about getting you in. Once you're in though be careful not to fuck it up. I've seen people get let go for all kinds of stupid shit. One girl got fired because she kept farting, which wouldn't be enough to get her fired by itself but she would then tell coworkers to come over and smell it.
Anthony Lopez
You have to move to a rural or surburban small town shithole. I was in Wyoming and there is so much fucking work up there I have a record , no hs diploma and 0 job history just a 100% fake resume and references and there was tons of jobs available some paying 15 or 16$ ahour which goes far in a small town with cheap rent . Everywhere was hiring year round and every place I worked at said they didn't have enough people applying to fill up positions . It was boring as fuck though and half the town was on meth
Liam Jenkins
I wish it was that simple, but I'm brown and finding a job is hard. I gave up after three months of trying so I went back to university.
Jordan Garcia
STEM is exactly the same. I’ve seen entry level jobs fill out with hundreds of applicants within days.
Adam Adams
>be me >apply for job >interview >2nd group interview >aptitude test >drug test >get asked what salary I want >I ask what I consider is high expecting them to negotiate down >they offer me what I asked for >fuck, I should have gone higher
Jackson Clark
I make less than 3k a month. I have 2 children. A house. 6 acres of land. Both kids are in private school.
Nathan Cruz
Boomer idiots will never realize this. Any last vestiges of capitalism were thrown out when the government decides to bailout out now zombified companies. Just be cogs in machine or else starve, goy.
>tfw apply for new job, beat 100s of other for an offer 3k over the posted salary range, decline offer because my current job caught wind and gave me a raise. Feels good man.
Noah Diaz
Sorry man. My kids goin to Ross medical center to be a dental assistant. 16k 9 month program. 5-10pm mon-thurs after he qualified for a 7400 loan he has to pay like 90/month for 72 months. And no pay on the loan til he gets a job in his field. Not a bad deal!
Don't worry. Their mental gymnastics and goal post moving will keep that conversation going and going.
James Myers
Write a good and concise CV with no typos that tells the HR rep the necessary things about you in the first two sentences.
This itself will put you into the top 20%. The rest is about nailing the job interview and that can be done if you're not a total asspie. This will put you in the top 5%.
The rest is up to luck between you and the 49 other people out of that 1000, and they will choose the guy who's best suited for the job. This is something you can't do anything about because you're either suited for it or you're not.
Most people who aren't complete retarded burgers will manage to land a job pretty easily. Been to 5 job interviews in my life, 3 of them landed me a job and for the rest I knew I wouldn't get it at the moment I left the door.
What fucking shithole do you live in? National unemployment is at or near record lows across the board, with job openings outpacing applicants in a lot of areas.
Austin Hall
Less than 1600 what? I work in retail here and make 1100/1200$ a month
Isaiah Long
Its easy. $700 a month for the mortgage. $100 ish for the power. $89 for internet. $39 for trash and civic stuff. Its not hard desu
>it's only illegal immigration wrecking our nation *CRACK-TSSS* *sip* AHHH. yep, as long as they do it legally, it's okay if i'm replaced by cheap third worlders
boomer hate aside, in the jobs OP is talking about, it's mostly legal H1B holders taking them for 50% of what you have to pay a white man.
just being courteous in case you legitimately didn't know that
yes hearing anecdotally from different sources the same thing.
1000 to 1 job to application ratio.
yet every place that opens up filled with temporary foreign workers.
and unemployment is supposed to be low.
either the way they collect employment data is not working any more or they are flat our lying about the reality of the job market.
the way i see it working and looking for a "job" will increasingly become a dead end between cheap immigrant slave labor, outsourcing, automation, gig work and the permeation of neoliberlization into every corner ofnthe economy.
learn to make your own money. work for yourself. everyone spend their entire life now online and buying shit online. learn to sell something to those idiots as the contradictions in capitalism turn the average worker into a mentally insane slave.
Cameron Moore
I only got my job because my Uncle recommended me. I’m a great fit with a degree and they're really glad they hired me, but I have a feeling my resume would have been discarded without him being a veteran in the industry. And not just because I’m a fucking white male.
The company is very blatantly trying to achieve parity with its hiring and bring in minority workers and, just, they keep washing out, and two of the ones who didn’t are very slow and require a ton more maintenance than they should.
>believing the U3 and ending your research at that t.MIGA boomer
Charles Ross
How is that liveable in the US? Company also pays my life insurance but even then I get through the month roughly
Andrew Murphy
You're entire island is brown, disphit.
Carter Green
I actually had psychosis m8, was in hospital for 2 months. I don't know how i'll survive old age, I get anxiety thinking about my hellish worklife until pension age which is going up to 70 apparently.
I'd rather be a serf toiling away on land knowing there's a guarenteed heaven for my simple life. Instead its all for nothing isn't it? It really is.
Luis Kelly
Bullshit, I have loads of non white friends with engineering degrees that never get even a reaction when applying. A white name is the best advantage you will ever have. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Elijah Ramirez
What's fucked up is I live in NYC and never see a teenager working fast food. It's all adult blacks, spics or Muslims. I think this is a good indicator of how bad things are
Cooper Morris
Be cuter, talk to people at the place that’s looking to hire after sending an online application so they know you’re a person and can get to their location. Dressing nice is good too. Even if it’s entry level.
You forgot that each interview has at least a two week gap between them and you won't get an answer after your last interview for at least a month. Many times you don't even get a rejection.
IBM sent me a rejection notice after a year.
Aiden Kelly
paycheck-to-paycheck, but it's alright. I'm still around.
Jack King
Why wasting time in the queer ZOG army? Build your own armies instead.
Jackson Ward
It is, but nothing's going to change about it. Grab the welfare like 80% of the rest of the population and watch the train crash together.
Jaxson Brooks
I just want to say for the record, I have a 2200 square foot house from driving a school bus.
