Buyer's assistants are the lowest level jobs. They require almost zero training and have a massive pool of candidates (probably the only people excluded are disabled somehow). It stands to reason that they have a giant pool of applicants.

Apply for help desk technician or I.T jobs. I've interned at an office and all of the I.T was on a its own floor. It was pretty chill environment, and where called only to fix simple simple things. Most of the time we are just messing around with tinker boards, setting up computers, checking the server, or browsing Jow Forums. Just go into the interviews making it seam, like you have other offers. Say you have another interview after this one. The interview is more social, than it is for skilled. Practice by making small conversion with random people. Strangers eventually won't seem like strangers.

You can join the military and get a trade with some experience through there or you can become a journeyman while doing your certs.
Getting a start can be tough if you know no one, so the military is a better option here.

Everywhere was hiring year round and every place I worked at said they didn't have enough people applying to fill up positions . It was boring as fuck though and half the town was on meth

You forgot that each interview has at least a two week gap between them and you won't get an answer after your last interview for at least a month. Many times you don't even get a rejection.
