to address your post, i've watched some of his debates and read through the pastebins and whatnot of his copious amounts of sources, information, etc. i want to point out the fundamental reason he "wins" so many debates:

his fanbase, probably rallying around a discord server, does almost all of his research for him. the way they conduct this "research" is to deconstruct data down to it's elements, separating the innate connectnedness between certain groups of data. once the data is successfully deconstructed, they then re-build it and make connections between the data which are, in general, not logically sound, and not supported by other parts of the data that it has been deconstructed from. the collective efforts of this group weave a very tangled mess of data to support their arguments which seems coherent on the surface, but will collapse when put into its original context. in order to re-construct the data they use, one would have to unweave the tangled web of of connections that they have made to tell their own story. the debate format is not conducive to this. i admit, they have done a decent job at this deconstruction, but it just doesn't hold up when you really consider it by reading the original sources of that data and tracking it back to it's sources, including the methodologies used to collect it.

i fully admit that i am not prepared to lay all this data out, as i haven't taken notes and done my due diligence when investigating their claims, and i have no intention of going back through it and specifically pointing this out and reconstructing the data. so, take my comments as you will, this is just my observation.

I think it's telling of how he supposedly "wins" every debate. What people see as him winning is him constantly shifting the goalposts, misrepresenting the opponent, gish galloping, and most of all, never conceding anything or giving any credence to the opponent's point.
