I have never seen a middle-aged waiter outside of a IHOP where they work their asses off for 10% tips. It is damn near impossible to raise a family on a tip-based income. Not bullshit, tile setters and carpenters on large commercial projects are pulling in 70-90 an hour, thats with benefits, their wage is usually 25% less than the total benefit package. Something like 50-60 an hour for carpenters and the same for tile setters
