You'd need at least a few million round trips to gas giants for hydrogen. Each time you'd need to bring a saturn V fully fueled with hydrogen only, without considering propulsion of course. There just isn't enough hydrogen in the vicinity for most of the terrestrial chemistry that'd need to be going on. It had been BTFA by the sun.

Venus is actually better suited than Mars for colonization, given that we can terraform it first. It's gravity is over twice that of Mars and the planet is better located within the habital zone around the sun, it's not its closer proximity that made it into a pressure cooker. I've don this dozens of times. Tbh most of the projects aren't worthwhile unless you are heavily committed to floaters. The MC costs are typically too high to justify the TM gain. That being said, there are quite a few projects that let you move the Venus rating pretty fast if you get them out in the first couple of generations. I just wish Venus tags were more synergistic to make up for the credits you have to plug into them.

In order to Terraform Venus, implying you would even want to, you would need technology that would make every other possible terraforming project that much more desirable due to ease.

By technicality no, it won't be the first planet colonized. It would take untold centuries to make it remotely habitable for someone to even set foot there, but decades at most for people to set up a """colony""" on mars even if it's dependent on supplies from earth. And you don't even need to terraform the planet, just make a controlled environment to live in that can at least somewhat support itself, something exponentially harder on Venus that is also the first step in terraforming. It's easier to heat than it is to cool.

And for realities sake, Mars is still more viable for that very reason. Various Moons around Saturn are more viable. Various Moons around Jupiter are quite a bit more viable. ALOT of things are more viable than a really hot and acidic rock because it's contextually close.

Once in space there is no reason to come back down to a planet. You just build big habitats using robot labour.

The surface is around 800 degrees, and there are clouds of sulfuric acid, and the pressure at the surface is like 90 times that of earths.

If there was a way to have floating cities, above the sulfuric acid, where the air pressure isn't so crazy and the temperature isn't so high, then yeah it could work.
