Housing and job market being absolutely fucking rooted are probably cause for concern. Boomers don't realise it but life in Australia for a lot of young people is like an endless nightmare. They were sold some dream, some ideal, from their boomer parents, and now they grow up, they might have some worthless degree, but there are no jobs and competition for those that exist is amplified by the influx of skilled workers from overseas. Then if they do find work or if they want to move elsewhere for it, housing prices are so fucked that even with a full-time job it's nearly impossible to rent in some places, let alone get a mortgage with a reasonable repayment rate.

The fact that boomers don't get it contributes to the problem, as they continue to sign off on policies without realising or caring what it does to their kids' future prospects. They got work easily, they got their houses for cheap, and now they just sit back and reap dividends from existing in the right place at the right time.
