Yes but I am including items that not only are for defensive purposes, but also for water and food preparation if your any reason you had to ditch civilization and retreat into nature. A crossbow would come in handy and actually have perks over a gun. Unless you had a silencer your shots would be extremely loud and echo abroad. People with other weapons could hear, and have a general idea of your location. If anyone dangerous heard, they could come your direction with the intention of stealing any resources you have. Hunting animals with a cross bow would essentially remain undetected. But they could see smoke from any fire you may make to prepare it, which could be a risk.
