this is untrue, ancaps are as much, if not more so, hierarchical than ancom - simply the hierarchy is social and voluntary. if you are not honorable in your every day actions, contracts, and being, you will be exiled from the community, and if you broke a contract or law that you signed into there is no problem with a court demanding your retribution or other proper punishment. in terms of non-criminal punishment hierarchy, there would be a much wider array of social dynamics than is currently present, namely associations and reformations of communities (through revival of religious communities). at minimum, within 2 generations the old statist propaganda of racial equality will fade and non-whites in white communities will eventually be exported or slain, if you cannot abstain from acting like an animal then they will get an animals punishment.

It's the Anglo tendency to view the state as something arbitrary, a "necessary evil", taken to the extreme. The concept of a "nation-state" is both self-evident and foreign to us Americans. If you start talking about Hegel, Renan, Schmitt, Gentile, or any real philosophical conception of the state then people's eyes will glaze over. Middle-class people have very very little to gain from modern states, which basically just enrich the rich and bribe the poor into not revolting. This alienation is the origin of such arbitrary principles as "limited government" or the "free-market", which are absurdly adopted as unbreakable, sacred laws - rather than the normal thing to do which is pragmatism and "do whatever is necessary, or best." It's understandable though. You tend to resent things that do nothing but fuck you over. The modern government doesn't even fix our damn roads after all.
