Do you think businesses should be obligated to take cash, Jow Forums?
Do you think businesses should be obligated to take cash, Jow Forums?
What? But how are the money lenders going to charge a percent on every purchase?
Businesses should be obligated to install 30mm autocannons that vaporize all niggers who step inside
Or ban people they don’t like from buying literally anything?
It’s illegal not to accept cash
Yes. If someone paid $200 in pennies, whoever is receiving should be forced to accept it. Not being sarcastic, having an arbitrary 'too small' amount of money that you wont accept as payment is bullshit.
Businesses and individuals alike should be allowed to negotiate whatever exchanges they deem appropriate for their goods or services.
What does it say to the left of president Lincoln?
A penny is not legal tender for all debts public and private
Businesses should have a right to refuse service. Refusing because you don't want a fuckton of pennies is valid.
>It’s illegal not to accept cash
Only to settle debts. At the federal level it's not required to take cash for trades. States can mandate it though and Mass. and NJ have.
>Hi, I'd like to purchase this!
That's not a debt.
An exchange is not a debt.
>debt

Can you purchase something without owing money?
On one hand going cashless is very convenient and much cheaper overall, on the other hand cash provides anonymity and most of the good traits of cashless is only present because cash exists.
You only owe it if they agree to sell to you.
You have to give them the money before you get the item.
Yes goy go cashless, keep paying a small commission for your transactions.
When did Jow Forums got filled with such retards.
Get rid of the penny it worked well.
Even $1 bills. Have you ever held over a hundred ones? It's an obnoxious grip of cash. These companies just want to charge extra money and prevent poor/smart people from doing business with cash, forcing them into the rat race even further.
>year is 2030
>everything you've ever said online is tied into your bank accounts and credit
>banks begin closing accounts of 'right wing extremists'(see:anyone who isnt full blown commie)
>McDonalds facial recognition flags you as DO NOT SELL TO for that one thing you said about mcdicks once and the robot cashier won't let you place an order
>beg for a bit of cash to eat
>die in the gutter slowly because nowhere and nobody will sell to you
>everything done to you is legal
So now Amazon Go will have a checkout with a cash register? What's the point?
cash is just a fucking pain, I run a shop and I spend most of my fucking working day sifting through cash, counting the till, counting the safe and fucking about handling shrapnel. It's pointless when card exists. Cash is for drugs and the homeless
This,we are walking into a world where you might have free speech but if you use it you won't be able to function
This is the correct response.
a business must accept cash
how much of your profit goes to the bank owning the card readers?
it really is but in reality and practice people get away with it. when you fly on airlines they refuse cash and say only cards are permitted to buy beverages and snacks. this illegal but nobody challenges it. there have been cases challenging payments for fines and such when state governments demand checks for speeding tickets or parking tickets, for example. and angry people come in and pay with a bucket of pennies. usually they get arrested for disorderly conduct because the government likes its income sources to be efficient. if everyone paid the IRS their yearly taxes in pennies, we would totally fuck over the IRS. it would take them 10 years to figure out the balance of one tax season and even then they would have spent more money on bean counters and people to move the money and gasoline and trucks than they received.
so they are well aware of the implications of allowing or denying cash. the one thing the government does not tolerate is impediments to their revenue and income
>i run a shop
That's a funny way of saying you're a CASHier
Get rid of cash and you're pretty much useless, more than you already are, retard
>b-but i put things on shelves and sweep the floor sometimes..
Cute
getting rid of the penny really helped me see who was a money grubbing kike and who wasn't. anyone who kvetches at me over 5 cents now gets added to my mental list.
I'm the store manager you cuck
not how it works. once you agree to purchase an item, they have already agreed to the transaction. this has been litigated before. when does the debt occur? it occurs when the possession of one object is transferred to the receiving party. when you pick up the candy bar and they ring you up at the register, they are saying "you owe 75 cents with tax and such" this is your debt
About half a percent which, frankly isn't a hell of a lot for the convenience
>State enforced use of cash
...why? They benefit from how easy it is to tax electronically
>Do you think businesses should be obligated to take cash,
Absolutely you fucking nigger.
all you do by allowing otherwise is a complete control takover by the big credit card companies, and also say goodbye to any sense of privacy with any one of your purchase.
Allowing cashless stores encourages:
Monopolies
Mass surveillance and the elimination of privacy
Higher prices as the kikes who own the cc companies take 3% of the businesses bottom line.
Everything will run through chips.
Cash will be just numbers in the banks.
Yes
So..a cashier who tells the other cashiers when to mop and sometimes makes a drop in the safe?
So you're saying over half your job is literally counting cash and dropping it in the safe, and that its too tedious and you'd like to do away with 90% of your job so that you can do what exactly? Sit in the office and get paid more than a regular cashier? What makes you think your job would be worth anything if you eliminated what you do 'all day'?
>buy one-time manager robot and security system that makes sure your workers are working
>buy subscription management system which is just some pajeet watching your store cameras all day
Wow, you're suddenly useless..
That's the dilemma. More freedom for the business owner, but less freedom for the costumer. Hypothetically 99% of shops could go cashless and it then becomes extremely hard for the few left who care about privacy (unless an infallible privacy currency becomes widespread). And if businesses could operate however they wanted it could also mean the remaining cash shops could have a ban on whites. Who knows what the future brings.
I like sitting in my office, drinking coffee and watching Netflix. Is that so bad
and yet all of those already exist in Canada (BC) even when they're supposed to be illegal.
Yes.
pennies are legal tender, at least in USA, Canaderp decided otherwise.
Yea that's actually based. I mean they did it because niggers will rob stores for cash, but fuck jews mining my credit card data
BUILD YOUR OWN SHOP BIGOT
fucking retards
There has to be a way to make cash more handy
Its a hassle nowadays
Yes, Netflix is 99% garbage and if you've 'watched' it for more than a week you're undoubtedly watching garbage. Very bad. Being a manger isnt necessarily bad, even one that does nothing, but complaining about how you have to do basically nothing when your subordinates have to deal face to face with customers every minute they work is just retarded.
THAT'S LEGAL TENDER
