Founders had no meaningful opinions on immigration because immigration didn't become catastrophe-tier until the late 19th century and wasn't solved until 50 years after it reached "too many" levels of migrants.

You ain't reading and looking at the charts. Those were not real Whites as the census counts jews and italians as white which is why shows that blond and red hair is more common in whites in the South than the north.

Twas baby steeps at first. first we say catholics can come then Irish, Germans, Swedes, French, Jews, Italians, mexicans, and so forth. People want to with their kin nothing wrong with that. Its that in order to do so each of these groups loosened the gates till the gates were wide opened. Which is why america is at its current state.
Benjamin Franklin was correct about his warning concerning the germans. He said they would never fully integrate. Look at the amish, mennonites, and Minnesota to look at the difference between anglo saxon and the Germans.
We should have limited immigration when they started to outnumber us in our cities. It was foolish to let so many immigrants come here.

We did limit immigration a few times. The problem was those first generation immigrants gave birth and a few of those second or third way immigration were pro immigration. Seeing it only as a positive because it benefited them and sympathized with people wanting to get in. We also just kinda forgot about the horrors of immigration between those generations. People didn't have the access to the same information as we do.

White Southerners are all right and look nearly the same. I'd say 1.5 inches shorter though on average than where I'm from in the midwest.
Why do you identify as German when you're much more English?
The Northeast had a lot of Irish, Italian, and Jewish immigrants. The South is mostly English and it's still conservative despite having a ton of blacks.
