how do I get a job that isn't mcdondalds or walmart if I don't have a college degree
or if I'm 29 is suicide the better option
How do I get a job that isn't mcdondalds or walmart if I don't have a college degree
I’m 30 and still looking. Join the club.
Gotta move to an area that has more opportunities. I’m in South MS and it is very specific what they want around here.
i'm an electrician apprentice i'm 18 bout to be taking 80k in a few months then upwards of 100+
I don't have the money or means to move
trades. do unskilled labor to get some cash, maybe somebody will take you on as an apprentice if you aren't an idiot or a whiny bitch drug addict.
What trades? I don't do drugs but I am fairly stupid. I wouldn't be here if I was smart.
whatever. you just find a day labor company and sign up, and do whatever. if you are somewhat compentent and white you will probably get offered a more permanent gig. i like you don't have a degree, but i am not stupid, so i worked my way into my position, which admittedly sucks shit, so i don't think the smarts thing matters as much as the competence and willingness to show up on time and not be high or drunk.
Learn a trade Op, don't waste your time with college. Experiment with what you like. Offer to work for free and see if it's right for you.
There's nothing I like which is why I never had a dream job or goal. And I can't afford to work for free. I need money.
haha dream job, get a load of this guy. listen up kid: you need money, so you work. odds are, it will not be something you like hence the name "work" vs. "fun". quit thinking about it and go do it.
then why the fuck did you say "experiment with what you like"?
And go to what exactly? What is "it"?
i didn't dude. that was some other guy.
i'm just pointing out that work is not usually fun or interesting. that is why some asshole pays some other asshole to do it.
Security requires a one week class and can pay decent in certain places like airports.
EMT requires a certification 180 certification course and you can be an an ER Tech if you decide you don't want to be an EMT
Waiter at nice restaurants pays OK
You can also supplement money with Uber/ Lyft or GrubHub/Doordash
Police Academy costs like 2k too so their is always being a cop
180 Hours
>Uber/ Lyft or GrubHub/Doordash
I'm already doing that and this is bullshit. There's way too many drivers now
I hate my life and people too much to be a waiter. I have a hard time fake smiling or giving a shit about others
See ; join a community college and at least take some classes relating to construction and trades for best results when applying to union jobs.
As well I think this is safer given the ones who will teach you will know if you're a retard or not.
Pro tip: if you happen to complete an Associate's in the trades or construction, after 5 years you're qualified to teach at a community college once you are bored of working in the trades!
However, I have told this tip to most anons in this board so depending on what other anons are studying, you might have some harsh competition to be honest
owo
I don't know how the fuck to join a community college last time I tried I couldn't finish applying and gave up since none of the college people I tried calling could help or even seemed to give a shit.
And what goddamn trades. Why is nobody fucking specific on these fucking trades. This advice is about as useful as "bee yourself"
Fuck just give me a job where I can enough money to buy a gun and shoot myself
delivery job
any delivery job
thank me later
Truck driver, bro.
>hurr durr automation
Fine, be a truck driver for ten years, then reevaluate. That's ten years of solid stable income.
I considered that, but the only place nearby that offers to train for and pay for a CDL license is CR England and the reviews I looked up seem to indicate their claims of a routes that allow me to be home frequently are false
Sounds like you're in the same boat as me, have you thought about going into the military? You could do dangerous shit and get paid without needing a college degree.
Okay but isn’t your life shit anyways? So just be on the road a lot, stack up cash. Maybe try meth, pickup some lot lizards. Could be a good life.
There is plenty of tutorials in the college's website as well on Youtube (maybe).
No excuse unless you live in Alaska given how primitive their community colleges are.
Best trades are usually welding, electrician, sheet metalwork and HVAC according to Jow Forums.
There's also the public service jobs such as police academy, paramedic and fireman.
Isn't the contract a little short?
As the other user said, it's worth it since how you put your own life here in Jow Forums seems really shitty, user.
Don't do the meth if you still have some will to live.
I just signed another year lease on my apartment. I don't really want to pay for a space I'm not using.
