When the majority of people will realize money don't bring happiness, what will they cope with? As it seems to be a likely scenario of the near future

When the next crash will happen?

Money is just one magic. The magic to get people to work in exchange for trinket of the day.

It's the only magic normies can get though. Tell them the TV is lying and they'll lose their shit.

Hook up culture would probably get more rampant and even worse.

it doesn't but it certainly makes me happy

Money is a lot like oxygen. It matters the most to those without.

>money don't bring happiness
fuck you. Hand it over then

Money, in appropriate quantity and frequency, brings stability. Stability brings predictability and thus comfort. Enough money allows you to bring that comfort to your lovrd ones, which in turn makes you... happy.

The real problem is there's not enough to go around. In order to be happy, someone has to be unhappy. As long as that's niggers and turd people from shithole countries, that's good. We should strive for that.

>money don't bring happiness
lack of money brings depression and disgrace tho

money is a resource. you can sit on a pile of gold like a dragon, but the money in and of itself does not bring happiness. money CAN be used to bring happiness.

Money doesn’t buy you happiness. But it does buy you all the shit that makes you happy. Like your own time that would be otherwise spent trying to secure your basic needs. It also provides you the means to pursue your passions.

So technically money does actually buy happiness.

>buying shit makes me happy
happy =/= fulfilment
you can always be a hedonist but why

Money will never bring lasting happiness to people who's source of sadness revolves around not being able to afford or acquire material things. Not talking about essentials like food or shelter, but the nice-to-haves like a designer threads, the latest iPhone, luxury cars, mcmansion in the hills, etc. All these things eventually break, get worn out, or go out of fashion, leading to a new cycle of wants, repeating until you run out of the money needed to acquire the next shiny new thing.

When you realize that rampant acquisition of material wealth is not a true source of happiness, you can put money into actual endeavors which do make you happy for a long time.

Well, once you have your basic needs met. Money will not bring happiness any further. Food, shelter, clothing. After that money does not bring happiness. There was a study a while back that showed after a certain amount of money average happiness never increased and it stayed about the same at all levels of income after a certain point. Once you have your basic needs met. Your happiness is up to you.

They never will. Not as a pessimistic outlook, it's a simple economic fact.
Your money, as a means of commanding the goods and services of others, is only as valuable as you have more of it than others who have or do things you want. The majority of people cannot have more money the majority of people, and will never come face to face with the harsh reality as a result.

>but why
Hedonism isn't exactly complicated. The core concept explains why; feels good man.

Money does buy happiness, otherwise we would enjoy being hungry and homeless.

Muscle cars are not basic needs and clearly you've never driven one.

When the risk of a newer, better life is worth dying for, then the people will revolt.

>money don't bring happiness
Money, under a capitalist society, brings stability. Stability is one of the requirements for happiness.
"money doesnt bring happiness" is something only people who are not afraid of becoming homeless say, or the small number of true ascetics. While philosophically true that it does not bring happiness, it is a requirement for the conditions under which most people would need to exist in (not afraid of imminent death or suffering) to have happiness.

Having th3 free time for creative output
Is happiness

If you can make your own schedule at work that is a start

Being your own boss is level up

Financial freedom to pursue your interests is peak

Too many think freetime alone is happiness
U need to value that time and be creative
To improve your own potential

Being able to pursue your passions isn’t the same thing as hedonism. Science, art, charity all of the things that make men more than chimps were only possible because intelligent men found the freedom to purse those endeavors.

Same.

>When the majority of people will realize money don't bring happiness
The majority of people will never realize this.

Money reduces suffering
Not the same as happiness
t. lobster

>When the majority of people will realize money don't bring happiness

Good luck with that ever happening. Even with the internet on our side, the normie majority will still likely live their entire lives chasing after material pleasures.
