This is almost true. There's some places in Louisiana and Mississippi that are still stuck in the 1950s, however. New Roads Louisiana is like going back to the Victorian days..Technically you are right because only the Heart of Dixie still celebrates Confederate Memorial Day.
SCV Chairman Paul Gramling was actually at the last convention and he actually spent a good portion of the meeting shitting on Southern state divisions (who have membership running into the tens of thousands) for only bringing in 50 guys when CA had over 100 attendees (out of 300 members)
