Processed red meat is pretty bad for you, kids shouldn't be eating it but unprocessed meat is necessary for nutrition.

It's the thin edge of the wedge. Banning meat in the city wouldn't be accepted, but having a meat free Monday in city services is. Then it's a portion size reduction (price is the same). Then it's no meat on prime numbered days and so on.

meat should be a treat from small organic farms or killed yourself. factory farming is disgusting and cow farts make up loads of environmental damage. also loads of agricultural land is given over to grow feed crops when it could grow human food. also rainforest destruction for cattle land.
