No right or wrong answer, just wish to know your opinion. How do you feel about a sugar tax? Charging more for foods high in sugar, as a means to reduce obesity?

No, tax the piss out of sugar manufacturers, and ban HFCS

>more tax
In my opinion you should be publicly hanged for treason.

How about a fat tax
A dollar each pound overweight you are every month
And if you're obese you get sent to a fat camp

Tax everything. Makes it easier to push people who are already close to the edge over the edge and into killing government officials.

Not sure about a "Sugar Tax" but I would like to see something that punishes people for being fat

>taxing you more
>its for your own good

I'm pretty sure obesity is from dumb fucks stuffing their god damn face with anything they can get from their foodstamps card. You are a fuckng nigger kike.

I think it's retarded because I live off of reesee's. I'm not fat btw, i'm pretty goddamn underweight (6' and weigh 130)

won't happen. the sugar jew is a weapon of the kikes to destroy amerimutts since 1900. and all the rest of europe too.

>t. Communist retard

so it will never get taxed, ever. your overlord rothschild has the finger on that.

Are you completely clueless??? We pay a sugar subsidy! Before you talk about a tax, look in to ending the subsidy.

there's sugar in vegtable juice and bread these days. we will soon have to make everything ourselves again. and i mean, everything.

>you cant legislate morality are-tard

This. Also ban distribution and production of pornography.

>6'
>130lbs

holy fuck dude. you lanklets are a disgrace to your height

We have it. They wanted to discourage sugar consumption. And it backfired bigtime, people actually buy MORE sweets in bulk over in Sweden and it got young white people fired from breweries.
So not only did it have an opposite effect, but it is also a bunch of faggots telling me what to eat (I'm healthy af) and not giving a shit about jobs on top of not realizing that the most unhealthy people aren't even from here and cost us at least 30 billion outside of healthcare. You could cut a thousandth or less and make more money.

If you want to encourage healthy people, then incentivize with tax CUTS for being in measureably healthy. God damn how much tyranny is there....

We have candy tax but it doesen't include juices, just sodas, candies and stuff like that. I think it's okay, prevents poor people from eating too much garbage and funds healthcare for people who have the money but still can't control themselves.

> prevents poor people from eating garbage
You think the government should control *your* diet?
> people who have the money but still can't control themselves.
Imagine taking all the money the government made on the candy tax from any random citizen, and see if that money would be enough to fund a gastric bypass surgery for that person.
How many more cancer treatments have you gotten out of it? How many doses of Spinraza? Or have bureaucrats gotten raises?
Get your shit together and just outlaw candy of you want to control people.

Heck yes I think government should control what people can and cannot eat. Do you think they should legalize some drugs too if it's not government's business at all what people consume?

And that's not how taxes works, of course single citizens's taxes aren't worth shit unless he's a millionaire, but with average people it all adds up. I don't think candies are so big threat that they need to be outlawed but I wouldn't lose much if they were.

>And if you're obese you get sent to a fat camp
I think they should run fat camps available to all.
Imagine being locked in a room with a bed, a shitter, a shower, internet, whatever affects from home you want.
But you're locked in there until you get skinny.
3 times a day you are fed good meals. Each day a personal trainer comes and gets everyone to run and work out for at least 4 hours a day.

Most levels of fatness could be cured in 3 months like that

fuck you i aint paying for that shit

fatties get the furnace

It's a good idea, and look at the sheer size of burger mutts, it could potentially raise trillions of dollars.

no, fat people pay for it.
Either out of pocket or through insurance.
Insurance companies would have an incentive to do it because fatties have lots of health problems that cost them money when they have to pay out.

The only issue is what happens to your house/job/ etc for 3 months?

fuck all taxes.

>4 hours a day

gonna hurt people doing that. 2 would be sufficient, though most lardos would hurt themselves with more than one.

oh I get the disconnect
when I say
>They should
I don't mean
>government should fund and pay completely for
I meant
>They should
as in
>Someone should establish this
Could be private business. That way if someone else opens one and they have better quality food and better facilities, but cost more, you could do that one.
Or you could do the cheaper route and have it be a test of will power.

fuck nanny state. fuck taxes. my body my choice.

I would imagine, 1 hour for cardio, 1 for muscle work outs, and the other 2 can be walking or something very low intensity. Just to build endurance of moving around. It could be throwing frisbee or some shit, just something that they aren't sitting/laying down but most constantly be moving. Those 2 hours could surround the intense work outs. But whatever, I'm sure you could just put whatever workout schedule you want in your plan.

I think it would be great. Sign a waiver or whatever saying that you commit to it and under no circumstances other than medical emergency will people let you out of your room except for the exercise portion.
Each day you're given at specific times, absolutely perfectly balanced meals, water, protein shake, supplements. whatever you want.

Wow guys, calm down. How are the masses going to be placated that way?

SUGAR DOESN'T MAKE YOU FAT, FUCKTARD. TAKING IN MORE CALORIES THEN YOUR FAT ASS BURNS DOES....

No. Just sentence everyone obese to death by firing squad. Give the currently obese 6 months to drop the weight. The health epidemic would be solved pretty fucking quickly and it wouldn't come back.

i believe taxation is theft

They'll still buy it, we have sin taxes on alcohol and cigarettes too and they are still overconsumed. How about we stop eating cereal in the morning which leads to obesity by giving no protein and accounting fot 50% of the carbs you are supposed to have in a day?

Exercise doesn't get you very far in weight loss. They need to change their diet. And not just calorie reduction. They need to switch off sugar and carbs completely.

You're right ! How did we never think of this, the solution to every crisis is always paying the government more money ! Whatever you do don't cut down your sugar intake, just pay more for it ! :)

I’m trying to work towards regressing taxes and political red-tape, not add more of it.
Move to Europe, you cock sucker.

I am in favor of some kind of "fat tax" along the lines of 10-20% to use a drive-thru as a direct tax. This would be far more efficient at the state or county level, though. More importantly we need to curb EBT at a national level to prevent it being used to buy junk food. It should be handled the way food stamps were originally developed: for very specific types of sustinence. I'm confident that would result in significantly less (ab)use in general sense - allowing the budget to be cut to perhaps as much as 50%. Doing so might slightly increase the cost of basic food necessities due to higher demand of meat, dairy, vegetables and anything deemed allowable. However, that would hurt big soda and anyone who makes the "food" you can buy at a gas station. Would any of this reduce obesity? Probably, but I don't care. I'm more in favor of keeping healthy people healthy than aiding the hamplanets that are too far beyond saving. The focus should be on changes of betterment for the future and to change the perspectives of those who live off products made by PespiCo, not just a quick cash grab to say "heh, this is bad, lets cash in on your impulses." The ideology should be to change habit, not create a financial burden. Back to my fat tax proposal, which can be argued is just what I argued against - if you live in America, you know DAMN RIGHT that people would park and get out of their cars and go inside McDonald's to save a couple bucks. So how would the tax work as a tax? It might to a small degree, but that's not the point. The point is to change habits, to change minds.

DONT TREAD ON ME, REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

no. stop subsidizing hfcs.
