The thing is, the IOC (international olympics committee) is intentionally ignoring that the men's events aren't actually named as such: there are open events, and there are women's events. A woman could ask to compete against male athletes, and there would be minimal hurdles beyond passing the qualifiers. Women's events were created specifically because we understand the extreme range of female athletic capacity is wildly different from the extreme range of male athletic capacity, generally speaking.

And yeah, I've tried pork chops treated like steak. Same muscle group as beef ribeye, seasoned with just salt and pepper, cooked to medium-rare doneness to ensure the fat really renders throughout. Pork is a very different meat compared to beef. Even though people like to think of things like bacon and pork belly being fatty, the fat in pork is pretty localized. Pork in those "tender cuts" tends to be a lot drier/more lean than beef. It has to be treated differently. Turkey tends to be a drier meat as well, which may lend to its tendency of sharing cooking techniques with pork.
