>HOW IS THIS RELATED TO POLITICS? GOOGLE LITERALLY MANIPULATES DATA TO SHAPE PUBLIC OPINION.
>EVERYWHERE YOU'VE BEEN Google tracks your location history and keeps a log of everywhere you've been where you've accessed their services. Extra creepy if you have an Android device that is always with you.
>"ABOUT ME" DATA Google uses data you put in when you made your account, like: work, education, hometown, gender and birthday. And many Google services require phone number, address and more.
>LINKS YOU’VE CLICKED Google uses click tracking to determine what is interesting to you. They track every click they can and use that to build a profile on you to determine your preferences and interests.
>WEBSITES YOU VISIT Google offers a free analytics tool for webmasters that allows them to see their website traffic. Problem is...it shares that information with Google for 74% of all webpages.
>YOUR SEARCH HISTORY Google knows everything you've ever searched for. Car shopping, vacation planning, medical research? They know what you're looking for...many times before even you do. And they don't forget.
>YOUR EMAIL Google introduced a free email service (Gmail) that is used by 44% of Americans. Problem is they are reading your emails. And this includes emails you send to other Gmail users (even if you don't use their service.
>FACIAL RECOGNITION Facebook's facial recognition algorithm knows what you look like and can find you in photos or videos uploaded to their site.
>"ABOUT ME" DATA Facebook uses data you put in when you created your account, like: work, education, hometown, gender and birthday.
>LINKS YOU’VE CLICKED Facebook shows you stories and ads based on things you've clicked on while using Facebook. And they share this data with advertisers.
>YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY Facebook knows who you are connected to and how. They use this information to create look-a-like models to predict how others "like you" think.
>YOUR POLITICS Facebook tracks your interactions with political content and scores you politically, based on your engagements.
>YOUR INFLUENCE Facebook's algorithms score you based on how likely you are to influence others. And recently let slip they even consider your "credibility."
Why should that worry you if you don't have anything illegal going?
It is convenient and helps you get better experience with the web and no living human will even see that data ever, unless you are some kind of an incel terrorist.

This isn't news. Google's job is literally to spy on you, take your data and advertise at you
It's why it's free.
Google, Android, chrome...
How is this news to you
Adrian Hernandez
>take your data without my consent. >and advertise at you I don't trust Google. They power they wield is unbelievable. All this spying and datamining just for advertising is absurd, and probably a lie.
Brody Jones
I use third party browser, with ad-block, auto-accept & delete cookies (cookie-cutter, I like to call it), and whenever I go to a site, it thinks I turned incognito on in chrome, even though I haven't used chrome ever on this lil gameboy toaster
How safe am I bros?

Almost every website has Google. See for yourself with the browser extension NoScript or uMatrix. Captchas are Google.
Also:
They still know who you are.

They don't in the USA either, which is why they're so illogically above half a trillion of market capitalization and are hypercompetitive worldwide as opposed to the loser non-american IT companies who pay their taxes However no one will ever tell you this and especially the government will never tell you this, as the heads of the entire current political establishment would surely fly if it ever got exposed
Don't care as long as I can eat delicious food and play video games.

Everything you do is logged and automatically uploaded to Google servers when you connect to internet.
Landon Campbell
What if I had an apple?
Evan Wood
I don't know.
Angel Foster
What if you run a custom rom without gapps?
Easton Edwards
It will stop the automatic upload i think but it wont stop them spying on what websites you visit.
Luis Baker
But you just said Google automatically brings your IP into a server when you log on the internet My question to you is, what if I had an iPhone?
Nolan Barnes
I said androids log activity data and automatically send to google. I don't know what apple does. You are forced to create a google account with android.
Nicholas Carter
The need to be observed and understood was once satisfied by God. Now, we can implement the same functionality with data-mining algorithms.
How would they know what websites I visit, without using gapps? Are there hidden backdoors in the roms on XDA?
Joseph Sanchez
Idk about heads flying. We're pretty apathetic at this point.
Connor Baker

Your IP is logged every website you visit.

This is such a white thing to say. Dude even if you arent doing anything illegal, why do you want any information of yourself tracked yo give someone the opportunity to make a digital copy of you?
Kayden Gonzalez
Thats kind of useless if you have a dynamic IP.
Hudson Cox
They can still profile you in many different ways.

I think you should care more about the AIVD than some company trying to show you adds.
The tech corporate reach extends beyond any political, economic, or collective power known to man. Soon, no one will be able to stand against the incoming AI that can hack human psychology.

In 2008, the Facebook data science team conducted a study on millions of facebook users (without their consent or knowledge). This study found that they could influence people's long term emotional state and reaction to events. That was a 2008 public study, what do you think they do behind closed doors? What do you think they do with the most expensive researchers and billions in AI and tech investments? Do you trust these people who have been caught lying in press interviews and under oath? What the fuck do you think the endgame is?

>2013 omg! the feds track our every move with cell phones and computers >2019 lol, so what if they track us? did you see the latest windows 10 update?
>Why should that worry you if you don't have anything illegal going? Why would that matter? Google/FB/et al aren't the cops. These companies aren't even confined to one country, they're multinational; they operate parallel to governments, not in service to them. Why would they care if what you're doing is illegal so long as you don't get them in trouble?
I get why Jow Forums is suspicious. They could easily use this for controlling content they don't like, whatever that happens to be, and doxxing those they hate. This is the more Jow Forums reading of their intentions based on the fact that these companies are run by coastal neoliberal elites.
But I think it comes down to something more obvious. Revenue. They want all the data about you so they can advertise and sell better. This motive encapsulates the previous motive and explains other things besides. I think Google doesn't want to control content and right-wing perspectives necessarily for ethical reasons, although many members of Google would want that, but for the same reason that Jow Forums is now split into two domains; making the place you're selling appealing to advertisers who just don't want trouble. If your free speech isn't profitable it can get bent. It's worth noting that I can still watch tons of "alt-right" content on youtube, that's because it gets clicks and hasn't caused them obvious PR harm yet.
Knowing everything about you also allows them to target ads with extreme precision; compared to, say, leaflet campaigns or door-to-door sales, it's like the difference between a swinging a club and a drone strike. This information is incredibly valuable for that reason and is why everyone loves using these ads.
Even if the companies were run by right-wingers they'd probably be run this way. Ideology is nice but only the promise of profit has the power to motivate change in the modern day. It could only be run another way by people who aren't motivated primarily by profits.
About the documentary yes. It can be used to awaken the sheeple.

>It is convenient and helps you get better experience with the web and no living human will even see that data ever, unless you are some kind of an incel terrorist. That is today. Spying at this scale was unheard of 10 years ago. What will they be doing with that data in 10 years?

First off, always clean your cookies. Put flash cookies in a null folder.
Use a VPN. Use different free emails, for different apps. Like for fuck thots: use one email for that. Need Amazon, use normie email for that. Fucks Traps: use a different email for the trap finder.
Use different operating systems inside virtual machines. You can even host a virtual server and run virtual machines in there. Dyanmis IP. Heck, use free wifi, or crack open some wifi.
There will be picture of your internet use, but it will be so spread out that only a {REDACTED FOR SOURCE AND METHODS} could use it and identify it.
I worked in security systems, and the thing is, when something is illegal comes across the server transit point, the operators of those points are obligated to privacy terms, but there is nothing to stop them from dropping a dime.
I just scanned my local wifi hot spots and noticed a few are off the variety that is sussecptal to jacket injeestionction a tack.
Don't go to panoplci to check your broswer signautre. Don't give your DNA to find your anscetor, since they have decided to give LE access. They are even opening a new DNA supercenter in UTAH. DNA data is like a commodity now.
Shit I remember a few years ago, they were shilling on /pol: FIND OUT HOW WHITE YOU ARE. Just spit in this cup. Fuckers didn't read the terms of service.
You need a fingerprint spoofed using the most common settings (you can look them up). Otherwise they can ID (and track) you by the unique information your browser sends to websites you visit (especially if you run linux).

This is very true. Use windows 7. That browser print is soo common. Windows 7, IE. You're just one in the croud. But you can do something in Linux that you cant do windows. You can spoof a linux box into sending packets like its windows 7. The source code for linux layer 3 exchange can be modified.
Jose Evans

Looks like another normalnigger "nothing burger," as apex redditors would say. What's the solution bandied about by the end? I'll bet you anything it's not renouncing digital technologies and escaping the prison. No, it's to buy "security conscious" technologies (produced by them under proxies) and "moderate" your online behavior.
Jack me off with a cheese grater, it's nothing.
