2. Latin America (well most of it) belongs to the US, they are little ruthless brown children. Like it or not.
Latin America is more important to the US than any other region on Earth, like I said they are part of us. If Russia or China invades America, do you think they are going to go in full naval war with the strongest Navy on Earth? Fuck no, neither will they risk a dog fight with our Air Force. They will have to invade through Latin America. This is why Latin America is important to the US, as long as they stay loyal to the US, an invasion of the US is near impossible. Russians/Chinese will need at least a place to have a main base for supply/logistics on this side of the world. So they would either have to find Latin American allies who will allow them to set up a base or fight their way through, and even then if one country allows them to do that, they will still have to fight their way through Latin America to get to the US. Latin American countries also have a military alliance that obligates them to fight if one Latin American country is attacked by a foreign power. And there is already an East vs West, it just has not been fought on our side, they are trying to bring to our hemisphere now. Remember the Cuban misilie crisis? Latin America is integral to national security, and I would argue is the only place we should be involved in, (if we are to be involved in a region)
