Yeah, it's a complex topic but the basic beleif in reincarnation is what i'm interested in. Varg mentioned somehow remembering who you used to be (through some sort of ritual i think) and going back to your toomb, that way you could connect to your past life and i guess learn something? he said that's why they used to bury people with objects (weapons and what not), not because they believed the deceased would need them in some sort of afterlife, but because you would come back in your next incarnation and by touching this objects you could more easily remember your previous incarnation. Again, this serves some sort of purpose i can't quite remember right now.
