I had a job interview at the NYC DEP recently. The building had dim fluorescent lights which are almost immediately headache inducing and probably designed to fuck up your brain and make you retarded. The panel interviewing me was one bearded man, two black women, and an Asian woman. The job posting itself was also misleading (I got my masters in biology research, they said it was a research/technician job but it's a permit manager/liason position) and I wasn't at all prepared for the interview. They didn't seem to really care at all about the endocrine disruption going on in the water supply when I brought it up.

even if, for example, it means holding back new technologies like self-driving vehicles
they will go as far as to lie and say the tech is unsafe if they have to
people will literally withhold tech and hold back humanity to
1: keep or increase jobs
2: maintain secrets so industries do not collapse, maintain profit by very slowly releasing tech in tiny increments
3: keep tech withheld because it is partially possible to use it as military weapons
the people who suppress technological breakthroughs and advancements should be arrested for crimes against humanity
